JOHN ZACCARIO JOINS GSN AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF ADVERTISING SALES

Former VP of ESPN Digital Media Sales and Marketing Heads Division

(Santa Monica, CA) –Monday, January 7, 2008GSN announced today the appointment of John Zaccario as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales. Zaccario will oversee advertising sales for all of GSN’s media assets, including its 66-million subscriber television network and its online games portal, GSN.com. Zaccario joins the company after serving three years as ESPN’s Vice President, Digital Media Sales and Marketing.

Based out of the company’s New York offices, Zaccario will report to David Goldhill, President and Chief Executive Officer of GSN. Zaccario will be charged with connecting commercial brands to GSN’s content across all platforms, including online, broadband, telecast and wireless applications. His immediate duties include supervising the ad sales strategies for the TV network’s 2009 upfront season as well as its original interactive properties.

“John‘s experience and understanding of both traditional television and digital platform advertising sales will be critical to GSN’s success as we focus on creating cross-platform opportunities for our sponsors and partners,” commented Goldhill. “At GSN, I expect John will build upon his excellent track-record in developing new ways by which we can better serve our advertisers’ needs.”

On his appointment, Zaccario said: “GSN’s unique position in the television and online game-spaces presents significant opportunities to provide advertisers access to a passionate, growing audience. As Vice President, Digital Media Sales and Marketing for ESPN, Zaccario oversaw the sales and marketing efforts for ESPN.com, ESPN 360, Wireless, Interactive Television and Podcasts as well as ABC Sports. As a result of his leadership, ESPN’s digital media sales experienced unprecedented growth throughout his tenure. Prior to his promotion in 2005, Zaccario served as the company’s Vice President, Emerging Media Sales, and Director of Customer Marketing. While there, he was in charge of not only the sales efforts associated with the launch of ESPN HD and ESPN’s Videogame division, but also the development and sales of cross-platform marketing programs to some of the company’s largest clients.

Before joining ESPN, Zaccario held advertising sales posts at ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Raycom Sports and Katz Television, where he created a new department within the company to specifically handle syndication sales. He currently resides in Stamford, CT and earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science from Colgate University.
