We're excited to introduce Marshall as June's Most Valuable Oodler! Marshall enjoys the competition on GSN and is a longtime fan of the GSN Oodles program. He's also an active Twitter follower on GSN Games. Read more about Marshall and his daily Oodle routine below!

I am Marshall, aka mbs1, and I am a long-time Oodler going back almost to the beginning of the program in 2009. I started out watching GSN Live, joined gsn.com and answering trivia questions for Oodles. They had six hours of GSN Live and even Saturday night Oodles (ah, the old days). Over time I played in the games in the chat room and eventually won a Keurig on GSN Live with Bob Guiney.

My daily routine consists of checking in on My GSN for daily promotions and to answer the Question of the Day and Bonus Trivia when a new question comes up. I get my two wheel spins for the Wonder Wheel and usually spin a couple to keep my balance from exceeding 60, always waiting for a double Oodles day of course. In terms of the three spin games I prefer Horse Play and Basket Case because I can often get perfect scores on each of them whereas I find the Cyclone more challenging to catch all the Oodles. I try to retweet the weekly Message Board Game and complete the Game of the Week. I like to play Wheel of Fortune because it requires some skill and luck to be successful. As far as the games are concerned I can't say much more than what others have, namely that most of the games require skill and a lot of practice.

I've won a few sweepstakes for gift cards and my collection includes Walgreen's, McDonald's, Starbucks, Amazon, American Express, Key Bank and CVS cards. I also won the $250 daily sweepstakes once in addition to the GSN Live win.

I have a home office in my New York apartment so I am able to update ChaChingo Bingo frequently throughout the day and gain the occasional Group Loot and match a number or two. I am usually up late so I log in at midnight to get my daily log-in wheel spin and answer the midnight Bonus Trivia question plus enter my Bingo numbers. I also like to complete the Daily Break once it's updated at midnight. On Bingo I play the same numbers every hour though I haven't had enough luck to win the Jackpot yet.

I'm honored to join the pantheon of Great Oodlers and hope to put my time to good use. I enjoy the competition on gsn.com and it's become a welcome part of my daily routine.

•	RSTLNE are common letters in many words. Choosing them first may help you solve puzzles faster.
•	Watch for patterns and connecting letters like ing, er, th and ck.
•	The Puzzle Bank carries over from round to round, so don't close your game window unless you have to or your Bank resets to 0
•	Keep an eye out for Prize Balls – they’ll score you automatic Tokens.
•	Close to a bingo? You’ll have the option to buy a boost for more chances to win!

These tips by no means guarantee more Tokens or game success. However, we heard they were helpful to some and simply wanted to share them with the community! Feel free to share tips yourselves!

Please welcome Jenelle L. to the MVO hall of fame, pictured below with her two friends, Tiger and Bella. Janelle is a Straws pro, math whiz and big fan of TV game shows. She also makes out like a bandit in the Prize Center. Need some game and Oodle tips? Read on!

I am so excited to be honored as the May "Most Valuable Oodler"! My name is Jenelle (Nelly91401), and although you may not be familiar with my screen name since I'm not on the message boards too often, you can find me on my laptop at home, playing on GSN every day. In fact, I have been a loyal member of GSN for over 9 years (since January of 2004) - long before the Oodle even existed. I have been a fan of game shows my whole life, and it is a life goal of mine to be on one. I have auditioned for all 4 of my favorite classic game shows - The Price is Right, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire - including taking my 18 year old sister to LA when I was 21 just to go see the Price is Right, and passing the Millionaire exam while attending the show on a visit to NYC. Unfortunately I haven't made it on one yet, but hopefully I will in the future! I remember joining GSN.com in 2004 because I love game shows so much and my family had just gotten digital cable so I could watch the Game Show Network. I got hooked on Lingo, and started playing the old version of Lingo on GSN where you could invite friends into game rooms and play a game of Lingo against a friend simultaneously. I played this often with my sister and Mom, and we also loved a game called "Phrase Frenzy" where you had to guess a series of phrases that matched a given category.

Anyway, since I originally became a GSN.com member, I have gotten a job as a math professor at a local liberal arts college here in my hometown of Buffalo, NY, and have gotten married. I will be turning 30 later this year and hope to start a family soon. Throughout these years, I have continued to play on GSN, and was so excited when they first introduced the Oodle. I used to love watching GSN Live for the Oodle questions, hoping I would get a chance to play one of the games on TV. I never got on the show, but one day my husband got called and won something like $450 playing the game where you make words out of the letters from another word. I was jealous it wasn't me, but it was so fun to watch him play and of course win some money!!

Because of the Oodle, I play on GSN everyday to boost my oodles balance. I have gotten some fun stuff over the years with my oodles like Oodlectibles, books, headphones, games, and things that have come in handy like a big pack of CFL bulbs, a digital bathroom scale, and a kitchen food scale. I have even been able to snag a few gift cards for eBay, home depot, and iTunes over the years on the special days like Black Friday when they have lots of gift cards in the prize center all day. I love to enter the sweepstakes too for the chance to win some nice prizes and money. I don't get a chance to play on GSN until I get home from work in the evening, but it is my favorite way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. I always answer the evening Oodles bonus trivia questions, the question of the day, pick my bingo numbers, and earn my wonder wheel spins. As sponsors have changed, some of my favorite games have come and gone, but I am happy to say that Straws has stuck around for awhile. Straws is my favorite game on GSN because I can play it everyday for a Wonder Wheel spin, and I can get on the oodles leaderboard everyday. I usually play a few times until I can get a score higher than 1700 (and once in awhile I can even get higher than 1800!) since that will usually get me a spot in the top 75 (depending on the day), and then I can earn some extra oodles each day.

My biggest game tip for Straws is to work as fast as you can! I find that I personally get better scores when I just make simple routes and work quick, rather than trying to be fancy and make elaborate routes and loops that eat up the time. Before I press start, I quickly visualize the simplest path I can make to connect the pitcher and cup, and just go for that as fast as I can. Don't forget that while the "plus sign" type straw is meant for loops, it can also be used for just a single straight horizontal or vertical piece (you don't have to connect it in both directions). If you can finish each board in ten seconds or less, you can easily get a score of 1700 or higher and land in the top 100 of the leaderboard, regardless of how fancy your path was. In fact, a lot of games on GSN allow you to get better scores for being faster, such as Catch 21 and Bejeweled - two of my other favorite games. A quick Catch 21 tip is to concentrate on making piles of 11 if possible, so that when one of the 10's or face cards come up, you can quickly make a 21. As for Bejeweled, try to setup as many big combos as possible by playing near the bottom of the board (you can get tons of points for cascading combos as the gems fall down the board), and by making the special gems from matching 4 or 5 gems.

I hope my story and game tips have inspired you to continue on with your love of games! You can look for me every day on the Straws leaderboard, and maybe one day you will see me on a game show! While I have the spotlight this month, it can't hurt my cause to add that if anyone out there has any casting connections for games shows, I would love some tips ;)! Thank you GSN for the honor of being an "Oodle Ambassador", and to my fellow GSN members - good luck and have fun playing on GSN.com!!

The Recipe Reader was easy to navigate with having some preset categories like Poultry, Desserts, etc… I opted to look for a recipe to cook on the device, but having the ability to enter my own recipes was a great feature.
In terms of using the device, the splash-proof device was a extremely solid. As messy of a cook as I am, the Recipe Reader continued to perform flawlessly upon splashes of water hitting the device. I also utilized some of the great features like the multiple timers to make sure everything was being cooked and prepared at the right times. -John (Analyst)

Congratulations Robert T., aka phimat37! Robert’s been a huge fan of GSN since he was 9 years old. He even created an online account a couple years before he could use it (we gladly re-opened it for him when he turned 13!). He’s a cheerful, helpful presence on GSN.com, and we’re pleased he’s April’s MVO. We have a great mix of younger and older players on GSN, which helps make it feel very fun and welcoming for all.

Dear GSN Friends & Family,
First of all, Thank you GSN for recognizing me. I'm most thrilled and excited, I can't tell you how much it means to me! I am 16 years old as of January 28, 2013 and I was born in 1997. Some of you may have thought I was older, but I didn't mean to mislead anyone. I was just shy to admit my real age in front of an "audience" of a chat room or message board. So, I just wanted to clear the air, publicly like this. It's kind of why I haven't been in GSN Chat for awhile. That, and keeping this MVO award a surprise.

I love oldies music (The Beatles being my favorite band), I love old TV shows and westerns (Gunsmoke, Bonanza, M*A*S*H, Andy Griffith Show, etc.), and I am a spiritual person in many ways. I believe that we are all God's children, and as all of his children we all deserve forgiveness. And, I love to listen to music (50's-early 80's), and watch westerns with my Dad. I'm old school in many ways.

I am homeschooled with a local charter school program because of medical conditions I have, such as with my balance, and getting dizzy, falling down (basically disabled). I also was diagnosed with a mild form of Autism in 2010. This is hard for me to talk about here, but my teacher is nice & funny, and even occasionally bring me breakfast! And, we've gone on field trips such as to the radio station. I've thought about being a Oldies Disc Jockey because of my love for music, a Journalist, work for GSN (Surprise, surprise) or becoming a comedian like Jerry Seinfeld. I also like singing, not like one of those bubblegum artists, I've been practicing LOL. But I'm getting into some autistic programs right now, so maybe they can help me.

Also, I love to watch Sports with my dad, Football, Baseball, and HOCKEY! Our favorite teams are the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins! Even love to watch college sports, and for that, we love the Pitt Panthers! I'm Pittsburgh Proud like my dad, even though I was born in California and raised here.

Next, How I found GSN TV (and Online) in 2006. One Summer day, in June 2006, I was at my Grandmother's house. She was watching Regis Philbin's Who Wants to be a Millionaire? on GSN: The Network for Games. And, then a few days later at home, I decided to surf and find this channel for game shows.

I've contributed to groups on Facebook devoted to helping and caring, such as GSNChatters and GSNChatters Answers created by our dear friend zekester3. I've also contributed to a GSN Fan Site for gaming with danhere, called GSN Chatters Network aka GCN Games. Me and danhere split up into different divisions [Facebook and GSN Forum]. I love to help people however I can, answers, prayers, whatever. GSN is a caring community! I've met many friends on GSN, some are even past MVO's.

Here are all the prizes I won from GSN:
GSN Hats (2 White, 2 Grey)
Quiddler Mystery Fun Prize
GSN Beach Blanket
Family Feud 3rd Edition DVD Game
The Proposal Mystery DVD Comedy
Darth Vader Mystery Bobblehead
Wheel of Fortune Board Game
Light Up Slippers
2 GSN Oodles T-Shirts
GSN Oodles Playing Cards
The Breakfast Club DVD of the Week
The Price is Right game
GSN Water Bottle
Blue GSN Magnet
GSN Lip Balm
Dumbville Whoopee Cushion
1 year subscription to Sports Illustrated
and I've also donated to charities on GSN and have gotten some fun Oodlectibles.

My favorite Oodle games on GSN are: Lingo, Wheel of Fortune, and Catch 21.
My tip for Lingo is to compile a Lingo dictionary on a piece of paper, or on a word document on your computer. It's worked for me. Wheel of Fortune, I think it's just luck with hitting the big money on the spins and solving the puzzles, with being careful on lose a turns and bankrupts. But, I write down those puzzles and compile them as well.

My favorite Token games are: Video Bingo, Wheel of Fortune Bingo, and Deal or No Deal.
My Oodles routine begins at 9:00PM PST which is the same as Midnight EST. I start by playing the STRAWS game for my Wonderwheel spin, then I answer the Question of the Day, and Oodles Bonus Trivia questions. Then, I pick my ChaChingo Bingo numbers for the 1AM EST drawing. I play as much as I can to gather up as many oodles and tokens as I can! Finally, I end my day by checking the MyGSN page for Promotions and play those in the morning.

Also, I play around with the GSN Casino Mobile App! It's really fun! Me and My Dad love Video Bingo on there, and sometimes I get a bit addicted on Slots or Poker, but I haven't lost too much in a great while. I also love the promotions the mobile app has to offer. It's sLOTS of FUN!

And, from 3-6pm ET, join me and my friends in the GSN Chat Room at http://www.gsn.com/watchandwin! We have fun, and danhere posts sniglets, maybe I'll post some interesting trivia or math, etc. But, we have fun, joke, and just talk about anything. Don't be shy to join. I'd also like to invite you all to play our weekend message board games for oodles each weekend starting Friday afternoon!

One last thing, these Forums are great here and I'd really hate to see them go. This is the place where we can discuss gaming ideas, and discuss game shows here. I'd hate it if that's taken away. Spread the word to support us here, and keep this forum going. I know how much the forums mean to GSNAngel too.

Thank you GSN for recognizing me for Most Valuable Oodler. It's about time! (Just kidding!)

Sincerely,
Robert T., AKA phimat37

I live in West Virginia - about 2 hours from Pittsburgh, 4 hours from Washington DC, 5 hours from the beach and minutes from great skiing, hunting/fishing and breathtaking views in all directions. Bob (husband) and I enjoy traveling and the laptop & android phones are now our faithful traveling companions so we can stay connected to GSN. My interests include being active in our church, working with a local alumnae group, playing steel drums (I play the triple/cello), and volunteering with Meals on Wheels.

In the evenings, I'll go to the GSN mobile Casino. Sometimes there is a game of the week and sometimes there is a game of the day. Just slide the screen (where the games are listed) to the right on your phone or IPad to see what game you might be able to play for extra oodles.

Since I live on the east coast, I actually end my day with GSN games. At midnight, I answer the OBT (oodles bonus trivia), the QOTD and then pick my GSN ChaChingo
Bingo numbers for the midnight - 1 AM drawing. The following morning, I answer the 4AM and 8AM OBTs and pick that hour's ChaChingo Bingo numbers.

As for personal gaming tips:
1) On the games where many of us average the same daily score (like Solitare Rush or Photo FIND IT), I try to play earlier in the day. If my score is high enough, the time of day I play can make the difference where I place on the leaderboard (if I can place on the leaderboard).
2) Go to 'Community' (one of the 8 tabs under the GSN logo),then check onto 'Forums' (one of Community's 8 tabs), From there, select the top section - 'GSN Games - Learn Tips & Tricks'. In there, look for the specific game for which you'd playing tips &/or hints. It might take a bit of searching, but it's really worth it.
3) I agree with previous MVOs' suggestion that you need to practice, practice, practice to get better at the games. If you start earning oodles for landing on the leaderboards, you might find yourself looking at other games for more oodle-opportunities!

The GSN weekday chat room and the weekend message board games are a great way to keep your mind sharp and to become involved with the GSN family. Also, check out the GSN Facebook and twitter pages.

While it will be an honor to learn the MVO secret handshake, I'm really excited about riding around in the oodlemobile! ROAD TRIP!!!

Happy oodling & MWAH!

Congratulations Steven L. (aka. incucrash), you're February's MVO! Read about Steven's typical day on GSN, as he encourages you to keep practicing and don't give up!

I usually log in very early every morning while getting ready for work so I can pick my ChaChingo bingo numbers, answer the Question of the Day, and the Bonus Trivia Questions. If I'm not sure of the answer, I know I can check the Community message boards for help. I want to win oodles all day, so I log back in during my lunch to answer the second set of questions by noon, and pick more ChaChingo numbers.

When I get home, I check my To-Doodles list, & play STRAWS to win a spin on the Wonder Wheel. Then I spin the Wheel a few times for more oodles. After a while you will get fast at the Horse Race, the Baskets, and the Cyclone game.

I play a few different games daily to try to make the Leaderboards. My favorite games are Wheel of Fortune and Zen Games. I play a few times to get a big puzzle. If you find an oodle Leaderboard game you like, just keep practicing, the extra oodles are great.

I play the extra games during the week, like Winner Wednesday, the Weekend Warrior game, and enjoy the live weekend games with the wonderful people in the Community message board.

I use my oodles to enter the sweepstakes, and won a $50. Amazon gift card, so don't give up. Good Luck! Steven L.

Congratulations to Cindy D., on being the 1st Most Valuable Oodler of 2013. What a fun way to ring in the New Year! Please read more about Cindy below. She has great tips on how to earn extra Oodles using your Kindle Fire or other mobile device.

My name is Cindy D. aka Fisher1055 (Fisher) is my maiden name. I’m from Woodridge, IL and I am thrilled and honored to be the first MVO of 2013.

I have been a member of GSN for about 3-1/2 years. When they had oodle opportunities on GSN TV I won $200 and I have also won gift cards online. A little bit about myself, I am a big lover of game shows and playing games on GSN. I am disabled and see GSN as my life saver. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000 and I’ve been a widow for about 10 years. I see GSN and its community of oodlers as my friends. GSN has helped me by being there to take my mind off the tough days. I thank you for that.

My favorite games that I play are all the Swap It games, Wheel of Fortune, Bookworm, Solitaire Rush and Photo Find It. I love trying to make the leaderboards to get extra oodles! One way I have discovered to get extra oodles is on the GSN Casino games. I have a Kindle Fire and have downloaded the GSN apps for the Kindle and I check it daily. They usually have a weekly game you can get oodles or they may have a weekend warrior game. These games are different games than the ones on your computer. You could make extra oodles amounting to 250, 300, or 400 oodles depending on the game.

I am grateful for GSN and all my fellow oodlers and hope 2013 is a good year for everyone! Bless you all.
