Well, my major way of earning oodles has been taken away. I would regularly rank in the top 5 of the Mahjongg Alchemy leaderboard and it was a Top 75. Which means I would make 400 oodles or more a day from playing just this game.

It is now a Top 300 and the rewards for the top spots have been drastically reduced.

I have no problem with them extending the board, but why punish the players who have spent countless days and months perfecting their skills by awarding less oodles for the top spots?

Well, it's certainly not worth it anymore for me to try to get a really good score. The difference now between the top ranks and the lesser ranks is minimal and not worth the time to get a really good score.

TVNewser says GSN averaged 297K/232K viewers prime time/total day for the week of May 7-13. The network ranked 41st in prime time and 42nd in total day among all cable nets. Not such a bad performance by recent GSN standards.

One other note not on the blog: the rankings among cable networks are pretty good by any GSN standards. The network has rarely snuck into the top 40 over its history. If GSN can even get close to the top 40, as it did in the latest week, it's doing pretty well. I hope Douglas Pucci posts the individual show numbers pretty soon.
