If GSN can get higher ratings by it, then they should go with the idea. Take a look at my other schedule.
I see GSN doing what it does best; dropping the classics like Pyramid, Card Sharks, etc., and putting more airings of stuff already abused after 12 noon. I just have no confidence that they want anything created before 2006 anywhere on their schedule.
What about Whammy? That was a 2002 original, and it still airs on GSN.
GSN does want to put some spice into the schedule. Variety is good. GSN has to cater to many different age groups. The older crowd during the mornings, and the middle-aged crowd in the afternoons, and then the younger crowd in the evenings, and when "Wayback Playback" comes on, the older crowd comes back.
However, on weekends, there are no classics airing. Not one. In fact, the earliest show that airs on weekends dates back to 2002. I think GSN does care about their audience so much, and do realize that Card Sharks and $100,000 Pyramid gets really good ratings in the mornings, so there may be a chance that we may see different episodes of those shows someday.
As for Dawson's Feud, I think it will be toast someday.
I could predict by April 1 GSN drops DWTS for good and/or announce the cable channel will cease.
