    Hey guys,

abc aired its Final Episode of The $20,000 Pyramid w/TV Icon Dick Clark

Pyramid aired on abc for 6 years as The $10,000 Pyramid and later as The $20,000 Pyramid

The Final Guests for the abc Finale were 2 Pyramid Veterans

The late Lois Nettleton and The Dean of Game Shows The Late Bill Cullen who just finished off his 5 month stint as The Host of The Original Chain Reaction on NBC Daytime

and also, on the Final Episode, Uncle Bill praises Mr. Clark for being an Outstanding Host and Lois Nettleton also praised Mr. Clark for being a Class Act

However, 2 years later, Pyramid would return to CBS for the 1st time in 8 years

and as for Uncle Bill, he would go on to become a Sub-Host for Password Plus and he would later host 2 Game Shows for Mark Goodson:

The Original Blockbusters for NBC Daytime and Child's Play for CBS which became the 1st Game Show Under Mark Goodson Productions

He would also host 2 Game Shows for rival Barry & Enright Productions:

Hot Potato for NBC Daytime and The Joker's Wild for 2 years on syndication after the Death of Jack Barry

Sadly, Uncle Bill died in 1990 @ the age of 70 after his battle w/Lung Cancer

    and now, here it is:

The Final Episode of The $20,000 Pyramid w/Dick Clark on abc Daytime

and BTW, Steve O'Brien was the announcer for the Final abc Episode

    Check it out:

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Part 3

GSN wouldn't dare do a Pyramid marathon tomorrow in honor of DC being on for his NYE countdown tomorrow night.

Dick Clark's time has come and gone. They even cut him off during his goodbye salute.

They go to their split screen credits before the goodbye sometimes. The 2PM EST airing of Catch 21 saw GSN go to its split screen while they were still dealing cards in the bonus round(IIRC they were at the point where the player took the money and they dealt the cards to see if they could have won the $25K or not)

For "Things on Hot Dogs", would the bun have been an acceptable clue? Beacuse that might have sealed it for for Diane.

Random but Pyramid just might have my favorite bonus round. It's definitely on the more difficult side but that makes it all the more exciting when someone wins.

I agree...the Winners Circle has some definite tension (but not in that dark-lit, booming synth, modern-day manufactured kind of way). The ones whom you expect to do well there sometimes don't, which makes it even more interesting. I still love seeing someone get through both WC rounds, and win the big money!

I was watching this morning's Pyramid episodes. One of the celebrities mentioned that he would be participating in the upcoming (1986) Hands Across America. Then Dick Clark turned towards the audience and said that a network rule prevented him from mentioning any more details about this event. But he did advise people to try and find out more information on their own.
Since this was a fund raising charity event, why would the networks not allow Dick Clark to provide more details? After all, celebrities were allowed to mention where they would be appearing in the near future. And these were profit-making events.
COLOR is nice once or twice, but I want more Black and White
