  15. #15
I'm resetting this first segment. Here goes. This is my idea for an episode of Hollywood Squares:

    (1986-1989 opening theme)

Shadoe: From the Center Square, Joan Rivers!, From Growing Pains, Alan Thicke, From Golden Girls, Betty White, From the Stand-Up Comedy, Wil Shriner, From the Northwest Side Jm J. Bullock, From Kids Incorporated Stacy Ferguson, From Just The Ten Of Us, Bill Kirchenbauer, From The West End of England, Lynn Redgrave, And me I'm Shadoe Stevens! We are The New Hollywood Squares!

    (Cheers and applause)

Shadoe: And here's your host, JOHN DAVIDSON!

    (Cheers and applause)

John: Thank you, Shadoe Stevens. Hello, and welcome to The New Hollywood Squares. Hello, Squares.

    Stars: Hi, John!

John: Well, I see. We had a champion named Larry Toffler, who won a car yesterday and around $14,000 in cash. We gave away Two cars in a row yesterday. So, let's see if we could do it for Three in a row. Now let's say hello to Two new contestants on the Hollywood Squares. Starting on my right on Mrs. Circle is Tiffany Cushing, please tell us about yourself.

Tiffany: I'm from New York City, NY and I'm a high school math teacher.

John: Welcome to The New Holywood Squares. Opposing her in the X position is Jared Slinger. Please, tell us about yourself.

Jared: I'm from Des Moines, IA. And I'm a writer.

John: And what do you do for writing, Jared?

Jared: I write Mystery Novels and Local Television Commercials.

John: Welcome to the New Hollywood Squares, Jared. And good luck to both of you players. Here's how we play the game, the object of the game is to get Three squares in---

Bill: No, wait a minute, John.

    John: Now what, Bill?

Bill: Is it okay if I explain the rules of the game, please?

John: Well, Sure. Go ahead, Bill

Bill: All right, The object of the game... Is to get Three squares... In a row either Across, Up and Down or Diagonally... And they have to figure out weather the answers... the stars are giving correct or if they're making one up... The first Two games are worth $500. Then the Third round... Then the Third round would be $1,000. Then after that, Who ever has the most money gets to drive away in those Ford Mustangs.

(John and the Audience laughs, Cheers and applause)

John: Now, Isn't that something for Bill? Thanks for explaining the rules, Bill.

    Bill: Anytime, John.

John: Jared, you lead off, Pick a square.

Jared: Okay, I'm starting with Joan Rivers, Please.

John: Joan Rivers. Hosting her own Television talk show in New York City. Joan, Which movie star has been nominated Five times for an Academy Award but never won one?

Joan: Oh, I think I know this one. Uh, Meryl Streep.

    Jared: I agree.

John: A movie star has nominated Five times for an Academy Award but never won one. It was Meryl Streep. X gets the square.

And this is how I see the episode going.
