I wish I had tips but sadly I don't---I can't seem to get them to move as fast as I think it should--is it me or where my cursur is or is it my computer??? I can't seem to get very many and this is the only swicthing game I have the problem with switching! Looking forward to some advice---thanks!
When the game first begins, take a few seconds to scan the board and see if there are any long trains of jewels of the same color. Your aim is to line up 3 or more of the same colored jewels either horizontally or vertically. If you get trains of 4 or 5 in a row, you get much more points. When you clear 4 in a row, the jewel will glow and if you're able to again use this jewel to get 3 or more in a row you will add many points. When you clear 5 in a row, the jewel really glows and when you move it you will feel like you're in a lightning storm lol. Noises will occur and things will be jumping all over the place. Just remember that the game is being timed, so don't spend too much time just looking. Move the jewels either diagonally or vertically to make your matches. Once you play a while, your eyes will be more in tune to looking for the matches that you need. Good luck and happy oodling!!
For some reason (slow computer I guess) this game is just as slow as molasses for me. It's like playing underwater. It used to not be like that. And don't get me started on the Stouffer's Swap-It .... It's even slower and so herky-jerky.

Thanks for the suggestions. It just seems to be with those two games, though. And, especially for Bejewled, it used to not be like that. And the Swap-It is just completely different than the winter swap-it was. The figures seem to 'bounce' down after a match is cleared. But it's not a smooth bounce... hard to explain. But I'll try the things you mentioned.![]()
Congrats andrea7777, you've been awarded 150 NeighborOodles!

Thank you GSNAngel. Always glad to help out my neighbors!!!
I am a senior citizen... I remember when Jewels has a "NON TIMED" version. I LOVED it!... Do not understand why they could not have left a version of it for us 'SLOWER' players that loved this game!... I am wondering if GSN Could not find it in their hearts to have some 'NON-TIMED' games available... Not to win oodles or anything, just for fun. We would still watch their (ENDLESS) commercials! LOL... Just saying....
I'm with you, Rose! Several months ago, I actually started a thread asking if anyone else missed those longer versions of the games... but I didn't get much of a response. There are games I like to just leisurely play; Bookworm is my favorite. It's a whole different game when it's not timed. There's actual planning and strategizing involved... not just rushing around like mad. You could sit for several minutes trying to figure out that 'perfect' word.![]()
I don't see why they couldn't have another option on those games "Play for Fun"... and every few levels or so, show us another ad. As it is, if I want to play those untimed versions of Bejeweled 2 or Bookworm, I have to go to a rival game site.![]()
In regards to the slow computer, I also have that problem and have been told the same thing by GSN, update, remove and so forth. I do that all that time and it is still very slow. That of course makes it hard to get any type of points added up. The cash game is better but I am not a paying member. I have tried to redeem my rewards but the also want money. I am not using my money if I have won rewards.
Thanks,

Do the Higher Moves First
To stay in the game as long as possible, complete the gem-swapping moves at the top of the screen first, then make your way down the grid and return to the top when more moves become available. When gems are matched, they disappear, and all the gems above them fall down to fill in the grid. Creating gem matches at the bottom of the screen causes all the gems above to change position, possibly disrupting any potential moves you could have made. This not only leads to fewer moves, but you won't know if the gems that fall will be able to make a match.
Use Power Gems Wisely
Power gems can appear at the start of a level or can fall from the top as you make gem matches. You also can get power gems by creating matched sets of four gems. When power gems are matched with two other gems of the same color, they explode and destroy all the gems around them, raising your score. You should never match power gems just because you can. Use them strategically by making sure no other moves above them or in the surrounding area would be destroyed by the explosion. Try to keep power gems next to each other. If other power gems, even ones that are a different type of gem, are caught in the explosion, they also will explode. Exploding multiple power gems nets you more points.
Save Hyper Cubes
Obtain hyper cubes by matching five or more gems. You can match hyper cubes with any type of gem, and they will immediately destroy every gem on the screen of the same type. When using hyper cubes, make sure to choose the one that will destroy the most gems or give you the best score. For example, hyper cubes will cause power gems to explode. You may be tempted to use hyper cubes early in a level to gain points quickly, but that is not the best choice. Having a hyper cube on your screen means you will always have a move you can make. Therefore, you should wait until matching the cube is the only move you can make either to complete the level or make more matches available.

As far as this game being extremely slow, its because of these GSN Ads running.....Personally, I own this game, have played this game on other games sites, and DirectV Game Lounge....No issues, the game plays normal...In regards to the categories (Classic, Puzzle, Endless, and hint) these features are on my personal game and Directv Game Lounge...GSN apparently has removed these features...
Hey. I have won several of the competition games like Bewjewled and big money but will i receive any oodles or reward points? I think i did receive some reward points once or twice but have not since.
Thanks just4hugs! It's nice to get some real tips instead of just a rehashing of the rules. I'll try to hold on to my hyper cubes and power gems longer, I'm guilty of using them right away!
how do i get more oodles
