gingersnap = you asked so nicely but alas I believe your plea will fall on deaf ears. We've been asking for that for over a year now - even $5 cards. No movement on GSN part in that direction.

How about putting ANY gift cards in the buy-it-now???????

  3. #303
I hate the auctions and sweepstakes, there is no way you will win no matter what. Its ridiculous that all the good prizes are auction items. I started playing on GSN when you could get good things with buy it now, it gave you something to save for and a goal to reach. I have chosen several great items and am very happy with them. Unfortunately, it do at least one auction a week, and have for the last year and have nothing to show for it. Please bring back decent items or gift cards on the buy it now platform.

Yeah, these promotions where thousands of us have to fight over a handful of gift cards is ridiculous. I've taken to getting magazines at this point, just for the sake of getting something. It's incredibly disappointing, but I don't see it changing.

i cash for dvds. although they have some terrible choices lately. the auctions and sweepstakes are a total waste of oodles.

I would love to see REAL prizes in the BIN-all that is there now are magazines, virtual badges and coupons-COUPONS seriously?

  7. #307
Yeah, coupons that you can get for free elsewhere by doing a simple search online. I find it more than a little disheartening when I have 49,000 Oodles, yet I come away with absolutely nothing in the Memorial Day giveaway. It's getting ridiculous here. The "Buy It Now" prize category needs to be renamed "Magazines," because coupons are not prizes, those Catch 21 cards and scratch tickets aren't prizes, and those silly Oodlelectibles definitely aren't prizes.

    Hushpuppy is the Secret Word.

I wasted over 30,000 oodles trying to get a $25.00 Amazon card in the hourly sweepstakes. I also bid in some auctions for $10.00 cards but I bid way too low. They seemed to go for between 55,000 - 80,000 oodles. This Memorial Day Bonanza was definitely a BUST for me.

we need more buy it now items!!! Who wins these auctions and for how much??? we never know............Something needs to change to make it fair for all. How about guess the amount for a certain item..whoever comes the closest wins for a fair amount of oodles. Any suggestions?????

There are some threads where winners of auctions are kind enough to post what their bid was (and people who lost out tell what wasn't enough to win). Things are going for a lot of oodles in general. But that's fine. Price items however you want... just make them available to buy outright for all. Then we could save up for something *knowing* we can one day get it.

They could figure out the average bids for the gift cards and post them for that cost. But by doing so they will cost themselves oodles. Think about all the people bidding and losing that they would be out of. I've said it before, they don't and won't care what we think as long as we keep playing. They don't even answer our questions. I'm still waiting for an answer on who won the tv. I should probably bump that thread soon.

jesse3000 (I believe that's the name) won the TV. They had also won another TV before this. The bid was for 1,400,000 oodles.

Now, there is some strange activity with their account. I'm not throwing accusations ... I'm just really curious about this.... You can check people's oodles totals by clicking on their name on any leaderboard (this person is on several) and this is what happened: On Wed 5/17 he had a starting total of 18,751, and then by (5/25) he had a total of 448,746, so in that week he accrued 429,995 oodles.

How is that even possible? Did GSN maybe give him back 400,000 oodles from "overbidding" on the TV and make it cost an even million? That doesn't make much sense but even so... they would still have earned almost 30,000 oodles in one week.

I've thought about writing to GSN about this (the stats I mentioned were posted by someone else who has been following his or her activity).

I just don't know how it is mathematically possible to get that many oodles. Even if you get #1 on many leaderboards, most of them are only worth (now) 200 oodles a day for the top spot.

Is there some secret way of making oodles we don't know about?

Angel, could you shed some light on this? I've thought about writing to Help but I don't know what good it would do.
