Big Money Tips & Tricks
Big Money is Game of the Week! Please post your best advice, tips & tricks on game play below.

My first suggestion is to play the free games so if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll find a number of 2 player games - probably best to start with the easy one if you're new to this game. The object is to click on a ball that is in a cluster of at least 3 balls of the same color. The larger the cluster, the more points you'll get. If you're able to clear out a column, you'll notice that the adjacent columns will move closer to the center. Of course you try to go as fast as you can however you still need to be careful because as the balls are removed and remaining balls are realigned, a cluster that previously was valid may no longer have at least 3 balls in it. If you click on a ball and there isn't at least 3 balls in the cluster, then points will be removed. I really enjoy the audio with this game and get a real kick out of the feedback that is given while you are playing. If a column is reaching the top of the page, then the guy will begin a countdown of 3, 2, 1. When you hear the 3, see if there are any clusters that you can remove that involve the column nearing the top of the page. If you are able to remove a cluster, the countdown stops. However if there are no clusters to remove, the countdown will continue and if you complete the countdown of 3, 2, 1 then the game will be over since the column would have hit the top of the page. If you play in a competition against another player, then the game will tell you who you played against and who won. A nice thing about the world winner site is that you can see your history of play and actually verify how many games you have played. This is a nice feature that would be great to have on the GSN site. (hint! hint!)

I'm a Newbie to World Winner and it's games. So thanks Andrea for covering most of the information on playing Big Money. I found a trick that helps me with playing the game. To not waste time looking for clusters of three or more, I quickly mouse over the balls, which highlights the clusters. However, because clicking them can change the alignment of rows, take a quick look first before clicking on them. So ya'll see if it will cause you to loose a larger cluster or money bag. Another tip is as balls get closer to top, mouse over lower rows first, which can move multiple rows down from the top. Then work your way toward the top if you don't find any near bottom. Since I learned this, I've increased my scores considerably and advance to next level's a lot quicker then when I first started playing the game. I've only played by myself, but, feel confident enough to move on to a two player competition. Hope this helps ya'll get higher scores, as it did for me. Good luck and enjoy the games my friends.

Zekester3 - good points you've added. Maybe we should try to coordinate our schedules to play a game against each other - just for the fun of it! lol

My Dear Friend Andrea I'd love for you to be the first person I get to do a two-player competition. Next time we're in chat together, plz IM me and we can set it up. I'm sure I could learn alot from you, sharpen my skills and if I have to lose to someone, it would be an honor to lose to GSN's MVO, LOL

I found that if you are at a point that you can remove a lot of the same (at least three that touch) chips, then you get higher points. If you have on the sound you will hear it say something like "bonus" or "big bonus", something like that...it's easier to do at the beginning because the chips will start to pile up fast. So start with one color and get all of them that you can get. If you can glance over the board quickly you will see which ones have more than 3 sets that can be removed. Three sets of three or more gets you the bonus. However, you want to be sure to remove the bags as quickly as you can to get to the next level. Once they start stacking up, go quickly, but carefully. If you click on less that 3 together, then you will lose points. Hope I explained this well enough. Happy Oodling.

Watch Where You Click
Be careful not to click on any coins that aren't in groups of three or more. Doing so subtracts 100 points from your score every time it happens. It's important to click quickly. Just make sure it's a valid move first. Avoid immediately picking up the money bags that fall in the first level. It is easiest to build up many points in this level. Build up your score until the only coins left on the board to click are the ones under the money bags.
Click the Biggest Coin Groups Possible
Clicking larger groups of coins means you will earn more points. A group of three coins will net you only 10 points. But a group of 15 or more is worth 180, so try to click the largest groups you can find. Several big groups are often given to you at the start of each round. You can also set up the game board by clearing away other colors of coins until a few groups of just one color are left. Then, click on these groups for big points.
Collect Moneybags to Gain Levels
When a moneybag drops, collect it by clicking on a group of three or more coins beneath it. If you wait too long to collect it, too many coins might begin stacking up. If they reach the top of the screen, the game will end. Moneybag collection will advance you to the next level, where coins are worth more points. Click coins more quickly as the levels progress. The game is timed and, after the first level, you must raise in level as quickly as you can. Reach level four to receive a score multiplier of eight.
Just keep in mind: Different levels of play dictate different strategies. If you're playing "easy" mode, you don't need to hurry to collect moneybags in the first two rounds. In these rounds, it's very easy to rack up lots of points by scoring big combinations. Keep playing them as long as you can.
In "hard" mode, this isn't the case. Focus more on collecting moneybags as quickly as possible, or else your game can end within a few seconds.
Build Combos for a Higher Score
Make use of combos. These provide bonus points after you reach certain milestones, and are key to building up a winning score. Some combos are activated by collecting one set of a certain number of coins. Others require you to collect multiple sets of the same number of coins. The best possible combo is the Triple Hyper Combo, which awards 450 points if you collect three groups of 13 or more coins in a row. Click on any large blocks that start to form for a large amount of points. If you have over 15 coins in one block, you receive the Big Money Combo bonus of 200 points.

Those tutorials are so helpful, jus4hugs. Where do you get them from? I know you've posted the name before but I can't remember. I've never played Big Money but I might finally be able to since I've just started World Winner (thanks for the help you gave me with the question I had about the site). I'm curious about this game...

On Big Money as with all of the cash games, if you click "rules", at the top, right after "select a competition", all of the aforementioned tips and tricks will be listed... and then some.

If you move your mouse over the groups of coins, the groups that are 3 or more will light up. This way you don't even have to count, it'll be done automatically. I never played the "cash" version so I don't know if it works for that version too. I only played the "oodles" version. Hope it helps someone!!!
