^ & ^^ - You have the Steelers to thank for that. Glad to see Tebow the false prophet got what he deserved. Now all I need is for Houston to beat Baltimore and today will be a good day.

Well, it's almost time for the Super Bowl. Since the hometown team is out of the game, I've decided to support the New York Football Giants. I'm cheering on them for several reasons:

-Ravens are a bunch of thugs and are pretty much the scourge of the AFC North. Plus, pretty much the plurality of Ravens fans I know are 1,000% bandwagon. Plus, have you ever seen the city? It looks like China: smells like smoke, haze, concrete jungle, a place God sends the rejects of the human race.
-Patriots. Bill Belicheat and Tom Brady the Mormon womanizer. Tarnished ever since Videogate back a few years ago. Plus it's Boston....why do they need to have 6 states to have fans in? Sounds like to me that they can't draw enough fans in Boston who can't stop shoving beans in their mouth and cursing Bill Buckner to realize there's football. Oh yea, and add Bruins fans in there. The hefties whom joined after 2001 and the miracle win.
-49ers. No team should have the same number of titles as the Steelers. Period. Plus the team kinda stunk for a while. The stadium's a joke - can't even keep the lights on. Plus, I don't want to hear about the Harbaugh bowl and the slightly emotionally and mentally inadequate father every day for two weeks. No one cares, Papa HarHar.

So, go Giants, the underdogs. I like the fact they have no cheerleaders, because it means they can play good football and don't have to have 70,000 fans who all can't get girlfriends legitimately and spend their useless, lonely lives fantasizing about women they really get, so they have their virgin eyes looking at plastic models. Plus, I like the fact they beat the Packers, eliminating any chance of them getting 5 SB wins. That and as a Steelers fan, I have blood relations: beautiful actresses Kate and Rooney Mara are grandchildren of Tim Mara and the great grandchild of The Chief, Art Rooney, Sr.

You're right. They should have More. If they have a couple of good years, go to 7, then your fanbase has to shut up until they generate a real team.

That statement is why people hate Steelers fans...

You know what's funny, Big Steve? I crafted that comment specifically to get a response from you. And it worked. :P Actually, to be quite honest, most of it I don't agree with (but I do agree with the fact no one should have the same number of titles as the Steelers - or more, thanks for adding that. ) You've seemed kind of, eh, irritated on the boards the past few weeks regardless. Not to be invasive or profane, but I'm wondering if that grad school CPA $80k/year promise of a real life thingy you told me about on the other boards is hitting you harder than I hit on the women I know as, eh, "friends". It's hard when you can't get the Big Four to listen no matter what you do.

Dress it up all you want, Steve-o, but saying you like a team because they don't have any cheerleaders is the act of a man that's pitching roughly a 5.85 on the Kinsey Scale. I'll just be waiting for the big announcement like when Neil Patrick Harris or Rob Halford had made their revelation.

No, I think it's more along the lines of "I don't have to proclaim how symbolic I am of being a brick with a bucket of mortar by my side, always with me." The difference between the two of us, Neko, is that I'm not as desperate for cheap relationships and simply having one-night whoopee. See, the thing is I went to Penn State, and we had cheerleaders. If you were a betting man, you'd bet I liked seeing them (in truth, one of them was a Lionette whom I went to school with since kindergarten.) The difference is that I don't need cheerleaders to watch good football. Typically, there's something called "values", Big Steve. The truly great franchises need not have eye candy so some lonely 40 year old beer gut guys can ogle over their dimensions as they sit alone in the stands with their St. Pauli Girl, or even worse, in their basement in the recliner, fantasizing. Our attraction in Pittsburgh is a darn good football team, led by a classy set of managers, in a beautiful stadium, with 65,050 enthusiastic fans who love the game, know it back and forth, and unquestionably love their Steelers. We don't need bulimic females to sell tickets. Unless you can come to Pittsburgh and go to a game and prove me wrong, I think I hold much more weight in the issue than you.

Let me offer you a bit of wisdom about females, Big Steve: Girls tend to like love more than anything else. Sure, they like good looking guys, and you bet they like masculinity. But you must also keep in mind that chances are your pin-up girl you keep over your bed at night has 10,000,000 people who are all smarter, better looking, and benefit much more from a relationship than you. Chances are none of the cheerleaders on the Eagles or 49ers would ever step within 500 feet of you before they got a whiff of your attitude and the smell of self-service from your "brickiness". I realized that my Lionette friend wanted to date a football player, and that was fine with me. But you know what? She has friends who make recommendations, and they pass word to others. You get a lot more credentials from friends than just hanging about a bar and playing the luck game. I never set foot in a bar, but I found real women - strong women, ones with character and feelings, ones that even if you got the Master's in (soon to be outsourced, guaranteed - read Thomas Friedman's The World is Flat) accounting to impress them with, that you'd never be able to get near without being arrested.

And you know what? Once you stop staring at the goodies, quit ogling over what they look like, you begin realizing your inadequacy as a man to fulfill what she wants - and it is NEVER enough, and you want to be better. There's no dollar figure, no video shoot, no drawer full of her stuff, that can be sufficient for you to get her. But somehow, you find the way to create resonance, and you get what you need - a true relationship with love, not lust. What she doesn't want is someone who is just going to want a Barbie doll and a boat anchor in life. And women who want you for that are not worth dating, because they have themselves in mind and not you. You'll end up depressed, anxious, you name it, and just generally living a waste of sugar, phosphate, and a carbon base, for all the few years we're on this earth. That's the real test of being a straight, American, masculine figure in society. So, good luck with that, Big Steve.

But anyways, it looks like the cheerleaders are working for you quite well, Neko. I'm going to take my real woman out to karaoke night while you get their phone numbers. You could share if you wish.
