What an awesome pair of games....it is a sweet sound hearing all the inflated egos of Ravens fans depress like a cooling hot air balloon. And the Steelers are still going to be kings of the modern NFL era.

Oh, and BTW, Niners fans can keep their "FEIF TYTLEZ!!!!111!!!one". I am glad I ate crow on the Ravens prediction, but I am going to wear my Giants shirt on Super Bowl Sunday, hoping to see them win. I am neutral on the Giants....Patsies can eat a round steak....BTW, I kinda like not having the Steelers in the playoffs this year. Less stress when I have a job to tend to and people to meet.

well, I don't really care. Either way, the team that wins goes to 4 titles.

But I will say this: I'm just more than happy to put Steelers fans in their place seeing as 99% of them are chicken-(s-bomb) bandwagoners that only follow them because "ZOMG! WE HAZ SIKS TYTLEZ!!1!!!one!!!", because they lead a boring and unfulfilled life, so they have to live vicariously through their phony baloney bunch of bulls*** artists team.

So to all the Steelers fans out there, do the world a favor and contribute to the curbing of noise pollution by shutting your sheep violating, 50 chicken wing between their teeth, grotesque selves up for a minute and realize you're no better than ANY other fanbase in the NFL. Having one more championship than two other teams, one of whom did pretty good this year doesn't make you anything but a bandwagon jumper who only elects to follow them because "ZOMFG! 6!!!!!!!!!1!!!1one!"

Of course you care, Neko. You typed a very emphatic response. Either way, remember that when you're typing on the Internet, don't dish out what you can't take back. Otherwise, you end up turning into a Kyle Williams. But yea, it was a great day yesterday. I was kind of depressed after hearing about the passing of Joe Paterno, and definitely, the response of the students and among my fellow alumni was an emotional one (something you should read BTW). But I got over it seeing Billy Cun?diff pull a Mike Vanderjagt and seeing the supposedly great Niners choke in the rain. One of the things of being in the NFC West, the weakest division in the NFL.

That and kudos to Andy Dalton for making the Pro Bowl in place of Brady. The "weak, NFL-assigned" division now has two of the three QBs for the AFC squad.

Face it, Steve-o. You weren't even alive for four of those wins (roids, greenies, greenies and roids) and another one will remain under dispute for years (refs). I know this because you'd have to be pushing 50 to have seen those games when they aired originally, which is more than I can say for a lot of fans of the 49ers, Giants and Pats, who really didn't have to be older than 35 to remember all of those.

That little nugget of wisdom came from possibly my favorite person on the planet and yes, she is a Giants fan. I told her about your reasons for rooting for her team, or more rooting against the other teams in the playoffs and not only did she find the "no cheerleader" reason lame, but apparently not everyone warms up to bandwagon jumpers the way "Steeler Nation" does.

The only way the Giants will lose the Super Bowl is if I place a legal bet on them to win.

Actually, Neko, the truth is this: I didn't give a hoot who it was who beat the Niners or the Ravens (in fact, I was split between cheering on the Ravens and the Pats, but I was placated regardless.) If it was the Seahawks or the Cardinals, I would have been a fan of them. I might have even cheered on the Packers, because I have a lot of respect for them....if you want to see success in the history of the league, go there. That's the only team where they can say "we won xx number of championships", because the team is publicly owned.

The other thing is this, Neko: It is a real (b-bomb) when you're on the receiving end of one of your rants. If you look at your signature from last year, you posted "13 is my lucky number tonight". You also admitted "I'm a fan of three teams: the Eagles, the 49ers, and whoever plays the Steelers". So, this weekend, I was a fan of whoever beats the Ravens and Niners and 100% the Steelers. If I'm a bandwagoner, then so are you, by your own measuring stick (go read your Facebook posts and posts on this and the old board). I honestly tried to tell you that the act of picking teams was bandwagoning (I don't know if I put it up for debate on Mike, Mike, Glen, and Big Steve, Inc, or here) for which I was lambasted. So either you pick my original viewpoint, yours, or continue looking like a hypocrite who just wants to argue for his own personal happiness.

I can guarantee you that once the season's over, the Monday after, I'm a Steelers fan again, regardless of result. I like the underdog - just like you. This 9-7 team really had to go through murder to do what they did....that's why I'm cheering for them. If the Patriots win, I might be a little made for a couple of days, but considering the ride they've been through this year, I'll give them credit. By Valentine's Day, when I am getting chocolate from my loves of life, I probably won't still be dwelling over the football season and trolling over the Internet for personal fulfillment.

And BTW, here's the truth about Steelers fans: We're not like North Korea or China, a closed society. We enjoy anyone who wants to be a fan. We're essentially like working retail: people come and go, no one really shines over someone else. But we stay in business, Big Steve. We get it done. We have that missing "aplomb" in our fan base. We've sold out games for 40+ years. We have a large, emphatic fan base that spreads across the world and beyond (there is a Terrible Towel on the International Space Station). We're appreciated for more than the titles. You just see your viewpoint from the Internet....just one outlet. I'd even venture to say you've been jaded by that Facebook group, which really made you extremely biased. So you listen to one side of the argument and use a Deadspin article (which you quoted again) as proof the Steelers are the NFL's Illuminati out to get you. I went out and did my research, Neko.

By the way, candidly, is this female friend of yours someone from your hot tub in GSN City? I can't imagine you being a friend of a Giants fan. Most are much more critical of their own team than you. I'd think it would be oil and water, but I may be wrong.

Just a random thought. The Pittsburgh Steelers should have to change their name, and here's why.

How many steel mills are in the city of Pittsburgh? Does anyone want to take a guess? Zero. That's right. The closest one is in the city of Braddock. In fact, the Steel Industry started imploding due to union regulations and foreign competitors in 1970, with the great recession of 1973 speeding it right along to it's decimation, and the city flailed in agony crashing into the ground until finally accepting it couldn't do anything between the end of 1981 and the beginning of 1982. Since then, it's been more a realm for doctors, ketchup making and pierogies.

In other words, you'd have to be 60 to have been a steel worker in Pittsburgh. So therefore, the Steelers is an inaccurate name as no steel has come out of the city in over 30 years. So no, you won't see anybody there wearing hard hats and carrying pail lunches. You'd be more likely to find groups of people like Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Rajesh in their circle groups ready to get beaten to a pulp by fans from Baltimore, both on and off the field, before discussing the closest they got to a woman was performing an autopsy on one in grad school.

It would make as much sense as calling an L.A. team the "Riots".

    ---------------------------

One more and I'll get out of here. How many Steelers fans does it take to screw in a light bulb? None. They just stand around it and say to it "We got 6. How many do you have?"

Giants spent all week getting ready in mud and rain for the 49ers.
