Well, it's pretty much official, Shelby....Steelers did say Hines will be released before the season begins....although I don't know if anyone besides the Steelers would be able to use him - he's pretty much custom built for blocking and grit and not for the high flying vertical attacks pretty typical of the league nowadays. Plus, he's 36 this year and many probably wonder how much more he's got in the tank. I could see him be of use in a "mentor the young guys" role, and I don't think there's any question he's a Hall of Fame member in five years, but aside from maybe signing with the Browns, could you see him anywhere else? Probably not.
