It's not we don't have taste in humor. Bill Engvall is a good host, he can be funny. Here is what I said on the "Official Lingo Thread".

Chuck never swore on Lingo. Bill Engvall said yesterday "This is one Hell of a game". Chuck would never say that though, that's just a saying, I guess. Also on there, the "B-bomb" was a correct word on there. I guess swear words are the trend in Television these days. The people don't care how they talk. I'm no fuddy-duddy either.

Also, some of the words on there, don't go with the clue, I don't think. I don't get it. I'll continue to watch the new Lingo but, I'm just pointing out some stuff. Bill's a good host to. He can be funny.

I'll watch the new Lingo whenever its on which is TOO much of an overkill. Soon, people might get tired of it due to rerun abuse and I will be laughing at GSN if the ratings actually do plummet one day, sorry to say.
So, its not that we don't have taste in humor, We have taste in appropriate humor and as I said in that post I'm no fuddy-duddy.

Well, that's just the problem. You are not in GSN's target demo. It's all about bringing in the young people who spend the money, because these are the ones advertisers target.

Just like with most other large corporations, the bottom line is the almighty dollar for GSN.

I personally think that kind of humor doesn't belong in Lingo. Apparently the masses of horny teenagers disagree.

I think the new Lingo is pretty good its new and refreshing, i don't like the hints Bill gives to the contestants its way too easy. The Set is nice it reminds me of Deal or no Deal.

Bill is a pretty good host i am happy there's no co host i found it to be useless. I prefer Chuck during his solo years but Chuck version of Lingo started getting boring during the last few seasons imo

There are some things about the two versions that I like and some things about them that I don't like. Really? I think that I couldn't choose between either version.

I like the bonus round in Engvalls version better but i like the main part on Woolery's version.

The bonus round is a bit cleaner in Engvall's version. You make a strong point.

So yeah... If you combined the main game in Woolery's version plus the bonus game in Engvall's version, that would be a great idea. But I do like the way teams pick balls in Engvall's version.

I just try to enjoy the show and ignore the language now. Does no good to complain, I've realized that. I kind of like all aspects of the game, the Bonus Game is good, I like that. I'll always like Woolery the best. Engvall isn't such a bad host but, the language he uses sometimes, and I'm no fuddy-duddy but, I'm just saying.

He's not funny at all. His 'jokes' are tasteless and immature. However, I could tolerate his lack of humor if he didn't criticize the contestants. From time to time, a contestant will guess a word that doesn't match the hint (the hints are stupid and often make what should be a child friendly program dirty, as previously mentioned, but that's beside the point). These guesses are obviously just attempts to pick up a letter or two to help them out. But of course, bill will usually make an awful joke that implies that the guess was stupid. He did it to a couple of nice old ladies at one point, which really made me mad. I don't even care if they bring back chuck, they should just get rid of engvall and eliminate hints.

Woolery's version is a lot cleaner, save for the outtakes from the contestants.

BRING BACK CHUCK!!and shandi.BRING BACK CHUCK!!!!!!!!!

also the hints make it less fun to watch and hinder my interaction with the show.did i mention bring back chuck?

You are so right We can only hope that they did not sign him up to a long term contract.
They should also fire the "brains" behind the new format.
