Thumbs down New Lingo TV Show with Bill Engvall Is SO TERRIBLE NOW

Has anyone seen the new Lingo TV Show with Bill Engvall?
This show is now TERRIBLE to watch.

GSN screwed EVERYTHING up with this new show.
This show has NOT improved. And it didn't even need changed.
The version of the show with Chuck Woolery and Shandi Finnessey was 100% better than this new version.

GSN, if you're paying attention, you screwed EVERYTHING UP.
You screwed up the board, the platform set, the picking of the balls by the contestants, the music, the sounds played when the letters are shown on the board, the host, the lack of a co-host, the giving of stupid clues to guess a word, the host trying to be funny when the show did NOT need that to be successful (and by the way, Bill is NOT funny), a studio audience (not really needed), and how you've slowed down the play of the contestants, and how you try to delve into their lives with stupid info.

    Basically you screwed up EVERYTHING!!!

I used to tape every episode of Chuck and Shandi and I will NOT watch this show with Bill Engvall at all!!!

How could you guys get something so wrong???
This show will get TERRIBLE ratings!

Someone at GSN needs slapped or FIRED! Or both.
Do you realize how BAD this new version is now?
    Terrible!!! JUST TERRIBLE!!!

My sentiments, EXACTLY. I CANNOT BELIEVE the station took off one of the BEST game shows on -- REPLACED Chuck Woolery; spruced up all the hardware; DUMBDOWN the words and decided that giving clues that have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WORD-- only to make it HORRIBLE!!! OMGoodness, I can't BELIEVE the producers actually allowed this show to be sooo screwed up. Now I won't even bother watching that. I used this as some of my favorite times of day. After working hard, reading, or paying bills, it was my way to relax -- NO LONGER!!! By the way, Bill's not the bad news. Getting RID of Chuck and dumbing down the game IS THE BAD NEWS!!!

Would like to see Chuck and Shandi back hosting Lingo. I agree hosting and program changes are having a negative effect on GSN

So, people are still complaining because it isn't 2005, eh?

I suppose just how we complain that Classics are better than originals, the "younger" audience will complain that originals are better than new originals.

I agree though that they shouldn't have gone out and made so many changes to a successful formula. It pulled in decent ratings the way it was.

Now the new version likes to drag along for one single word, with unnecessary comedy and clues.

People liked a fast paced, smart, word game (according to ratings!)

I suppose we'll have to see how the ratings are for this show. I admit, it's not as terrible as people are saying, but it's also not as good as the original version, since they've done the same thing they did with the Drew Carey improv show, slowed it down and tried to make funny.

I like the new Lingo to tell you the truth. I set is okay, host is good and gameplay is good to me but, It may not beat Chuck & Shandi. I can't wait to see how the show did in the ratings.

If I had to choose between Bill Engvall and Chuck & Shandi, I'd choose Chuck & Shandi. But, Bill Engvall's version is good, IMHO. They have some words on that I never heard of and some interesting words that they put in that I've heard of.

I think the new Lingo is something great that they put back on in new episodes. It's better than The Newlywed Game, Baggage and Love Triangle, IMO. Those shows might've brought in the ratings (well, The Newlywed Game and Baggage did) but, the shows are just trash, IMO.

See, I'm more inclined to think it's only a couple of people registering multiple accounts to say the show sucks.

I love how people just can't stop living in the past.

If the numbers were so great for the Chuck and Shandi LINGO shows, then why would GSN stop production in 2007? I'm sure the higher ups at GSN were saying, "This show is so wildly successful for us ... lets stop making it".

GSN obviously has produced who knows how many of the new LINGO shows, and they are going to air them regardless of what the same 12 people that consistently repost negative comments say!

If you put forth the same effort trying to like the show as you do trashing the show, you might realize the good points. Those points being, ITS STILL LINGO!!!!! The game hasn't changed that much. You are still guessing 5 letter words, and you might get a little comedy as a small bonus thanks to your very funny and capable host Bill Engvall. The money is way better than the measly amounts that were in the old shows. And finally, if you think the game is way too easy now, then you should fly your sorry complaining rear ends to Los Angeles and try out. Just think, with $100,000 you could recover that La-Z-Boy you spend your life in, in real leather.

All I'm saying is try to embrace a little change.

we all dont like changes well get use to it so far ok

We all have opinions and we don't have time to attack other opinions. Instead of us focusing on the bad of the show, we should sit down and watch the good parts of the show. Some words that Chuck's Lingo didn't have, ARE HERE in Bill's Lingo. It has been amped up to a versatile demogragphic. Now it is no longer for people who are "statiscally smart" it is now open for all ages *Like it always been but more "word-friendly"*.

Let us give the show a few months and then complain to see if it has improved or not. If not then demand GSN to bring back Chuck Woolery and Shandi back as the hosts.

    Unhappy Lingo

I can't give this new show/host any more time. It is not the same show---it is no where near as good---why watch it??? Bring back Chuck Woolery and the old show---and while your at it, get rid of Drew Carey's new Improv-a-ganza. It's just as bad as the new Lingo. Looks like I'll be back with the other networks. I spent the whole day with GSN on---now it's not on my TV any more with those games. Why change something that was so good????
