Why can't GSN code their shows correctly for DVR?

I have over 45 Improvaganzas because each is considered "NEW" by my Comcast DVR, and I have never seen a GSN show code correctly as "Repeat". I wind up deleting most of the shows I record unwatched because it is too much work to watch the first five minutes to see if the episode looks familiar then delete it if it does.

This shouldn't be this hard, especially since I have to pay extra to GET GSN.

Hated that too, but the show got boring so I don't even bother.
