A minor topic to some, but it will make a difference to Rich Fields. The former TPiR announcer has recently announced on his Facebook page that his dog Cosmo had to be put down due to complications from pancreatitis:

"It is with a heavy heart that I write this post this morning. After a life of only 5 short years, our Pug, Cosmo has passed away. Sunday she became very sick. Monday she was diagnosed with Pancreatis [sic]. We took her in for surgery yesterday and after many complications... we regrettably had to let her go. Christine and I do not have children, Cosmo was our little girl. We've managed to trudge through a very difficult year with success, now we lose our precious family member Cosmo. We will desperately miss out [sic] little baby."

I've lost a pet very suddenly, even though she lived for a very long time before then, and the situation is going to be harder for the Fields family. Mr. Fields is a strong figure in the game show world; dropping by and offering your condolences will give him a sense of comfort in this difficult time.

At least Bob Barker won't be throwing a fit about it, seeing animal cruelty wasn't to blame.
