Oodles Not Appearing in Main Account

I'm pretty new here...

I've been playing Lingo, and see my name in the Leaderboard with Oodles earned, but they don't show up in my main account. Does it take awhile for these to appear and become available? Thanks.

Leaderboard oodles are credited the day they are won. However, the leaderboards are constantly changing....they are a fluxuating thing. It took me a little while when I first started playing to comprehend this too. Let me explain: If you play a game at midnight (Eastern--when the new day begins), you will place very high on a leaderboard even with a relatively low score. Throughout the next 24 hours, people play and beat that score and you will get knocked down and down as the day goes on unless you better your score.

If you want to see if you actually "placed" on a leaderboard and earned oodles, first, check the leaderboard... click on where it says "Top Players Win Oodles! Click Here to Learn More" and that will show you the rankings for that game and how many oodles the placements are worth (because different games have different kinds of leaderboards). Secondly, if you are logged in, it will show you your placement on the board (if you've played that game that day) by saying "Your Rank" and then a number next to it. So, you will see this number increase all through the day as your score is knocked further and further down (e.g. you rank 34th at midnight but by noon, your ranking is now 441st)... BUT... the good news is you can only increase your ranking if you continue to play. Only scores higher than what you initially placed will count and "re-rank" you. More simply put-- you can't worsen your standing... only better it.

So keep playing and up your ranking. And don't worry about the leaderboards at first. Don't get discouraged; it takes awhile to master some games. Just play and try to beat YOUR personal high score.

Also, you can look on the leaderboards to get an idea of what kind of score it takes to get a ranking worth oodles. At the bottom of each leaderboard window, it says "View Recent Winners." If you click on this and scroll through it, you can see what scores it took to rank from top to bottom for the previous day. (You can also check the Weekly and Monthly rankings as well.) These are usually pretty good indicators of what it takes to land on a leaderboard and earn oodles... although the top scores may vary greatly on some games, the lowest scores are usually pretty consistent.

Probably waaaaayyyyy more than what you wanted to know ..... But I was in a mood. Anyway, hope this helps.

You're welcome! I'm glad it's helpful to you. I wish they'd put this explanation somewhere under the header "Leaderboards Explained" or something like that because I know it is confusing when you first dive in to the leaderboard pool.

but how about the emails I've been recieving that says "we crunch the number and you are rank .... you won 10 or so oodles? but I have not seen it added to my account. But thanks for your help in explaining how this work...I still have more questions in my mind hope i'll be able to figure out too soon.

That's very odd. And you've checked your oodles account for the day that it said it was credited? If you received an email saying you made the leaderboard, those oodles specified should have shown up. Sometimes there is an hour or less delay, but never more. Definitely email help@gsn.com and let them know. They'll tell you when (or if) they were credited and you can then check for yourself. They probably were but you just didn't notice them... but maybe not... I don't know.
