I'm sorry... didn't mean to offend. I was just taken aback when I went to the site and saw that the $25.00 "card" cost $10.00. To me, that means that it is "worth" $10.00. But you're right... you do get $25.00 worth of food and drink... but there are other restrictions as well, like a minimum order at all of the restaurants in order to use the coupon. I just didn't want Beautifulgirl to be let down if/when she receives it.

I know I'm not the only one who's been disappointed in the cards upon closer examination...I got a PM from someone about them and there's been talk on another thread (or maybe this one... can't remember) about how they aren't exactly what they appear to be. That's all I was trying to say. I think most people when they first see it think it's like a Walmart or Target gift card (or any gift card, for that matter) where you go in and just spend it...no restrictions... and that if you wanted to buy one, it would cost what the dollar amount says on the card.

Like you said yourself, you get $25.00 OFF YOUR MEAL... it's definitely more like a coupon than a gift card. I think the term "gift card" is more misleading than the dollar amount... because, yes, the "value" is, I suppose, $25.00.

Still, like you said though, it's really not a "gift card" in the way most people think of gift cards. It IS more like a coupon. Speaking of coupons, they really ought to change the "Buy It Now" section to "Magazines and Coupons," because that's about all there is there. One more little piece of frustration for me. Those dumb "Catch 21" cards have absolutely no place in the "Buy It Now" prize section. They aren't prizes!

I just saw this... thanks for backing me up. I also agree that the Catch 21 cards, virtual badges and even the Scratch and Win tickets don't belong in the "Prize" section... yes, they are buy-it-now, but they aren't prizes. You might as well put the sweepstakes in there because essentially, you are "buying" an entry. A CHANCE to win.

i voted for resturant card because we all can use it anytime after all we must eat and what could be better than eating for FREE!

Yeah, but did you read the posts... the "gift card" is not a gift card. It's a coupon. You get a certain amount OFF your bill but there is a minimum you must buy at the restaurant to use the coupon. In other words, you can't walk in with your "gift card" and no cash and get anything with it.

Yea, these resturant cards are not at all "GIFT CARDS" and you can buy them all day for cents on the $, There isnt very many establishments that accept them and they come with tons of restrictions.. some of the places that do accept them require a $100 purchase and that doesnt include the tip that is included on your bill.

I do wish they'd get real restaurant gift cards... people do want them... just not these... it's just not a good deal and is very inconvenient. There are many national chain restaurants... couldn't they offer a variety of gift cards featuring some of those establishments?

Yes there are many of those and many other sites offer these - examples: Darden for Red Lobster and Olive Garden, TGIF, even Subway. It's not a question of "could they" - they being GSN - of course they could offer these or many other gift cards for restaurants or otherwise. But they simply are not/will not. Their prerogative but very disheartening to us.

I'm wondering why they keep asking us qhat we would like to get.everybody said in the last time gift cards, gas card and etc but now they are asking again and I agree that what we have to buy is not worth spending oodles because they over price us on oodles that does't nearly cost that much and if your not a high enough leaderboard and have not been playing these games for years you can get up there to win enough oodles to pay the cost for a prize I thought they were going to add gift for gas and other things to buy so then we know how much oodles it takes to get it .I have bid on several items but I always lose because someone that has a pile of oodles I am glad they can bid and get it , but I have given up, but will hang in there till something else comes up but I hope its not books or cookies because I can buy both cheap in the stores. good luck everyone please get us gas caards, resturant to subway and crackerbarrel resturant. pharmacy and alot of other places and this away everyone has a chance to get something without bidding, also you can get cards at eckerds and other places for visa,wallmart, and etc for $20.00 or less and these are great things I buy these for all my grandchilodren and family . hope I didn't insult anyone because this is not what I wnat to do. I'm just trying to help everyone and this would give a chance for everyone to work hard to get something.

Loveless, that is how we all feel. I think I posted early on this thread that this was kind of a trick question... because we DON'T WANT MORE AUCTIONS!!!! Yes, we want the prizes we voted for here, but we want them as BUY-IT-NOW. It would make so many people happy to have just $5 or $10 gift cards for all the things we mentioned here... but apparently, that's just not the way GSN wants to go anymore.

I agree I still wish they would have alot nicer prizes for the buy it now. I have bid on the blender cookies sewing machine jewerly, gas card, scatch off, notebook the cameria and cam corder which I justr bought for 39.95 and the cookies were under 50.00 but no matter what I bid I guess you have to have 500,00 oodles to get anything because On a couple of the things I try to gey I celected 50,000 and 150,00 for another and I still didn't win and I never seem to win the blender, which according to what i have seen it wasn/t enough either I would like for someone to at least give us a idea about what a oodles is worth and then maybe we would know what us lower people can get without being so high we can ever get anything but books, scatchoff and lip balm, and things that we don't want, I voated for resturant, gas card, gift cards from cvsor walmart or anywhere or grocert certificaate so we can buy groceries. and etc like these thing need to be biy it now thanks for everyone reply and wish GSN & staff and everyone of the fabulous client that we have trying to win prizes and play games. I went thought every game today to see if there were any games that we could play to get oodles without competing against leaderboard and there were none except the one gsn gives us a change to win for oodles games. thanks alot and eveyone of you ave a happy new year and christmas.

I would like to see an oodles game credit or something, but I agree with one of the post that the ones with so many oodles that have played on here for years vs. some of players that just found out about this site get less because no matter how many bids I place and play on cash and so forth and weekly things I will never catch up to those people. That is just my opinion. I still bid quite often and play almost everyday and maybe someday you guys could set up something for newcomers less than a couple years to the site to bid on. Just a suggestion!!
