Studio: Hollywood Center Studios
Gameplay
Same as usual for everything, except played for cash (in savings bonds) instead of points. Also, contestants must be 8-16 to compete.
The only change made to the Grand Prix Race is that it'll be worth $50 to the winner, and here's the chip values:
Red chips: $10
White chips: $25
Yellow chips: $50
Blue chips: $100
As usual, the team with the most money wins a bonus prize and the right to go into the Fun House for more! Both teams keep their money in savings bonds.
The Fun House Run
Same format as the 2nd season in syndication, w/a few wrinkles from the FOX season, and a few new ones.
1. One of the rooms, in addition to a prize/cash tag, has a Glop Clock, giving the team an extra 30 seconds in the Fun House.
2. There are 7 prize tags instead of 6, and over $5,000 (or even more (explained in #4)) in cash tags.
3. Instead of any one of any of the tags designated as the Power Prize tag, only one of the prize tags will have such designation.
4. To compensate for #3, one of the many cash tags in the Fun House is the Power Pot tag, which gives the team an increasing cash jackpot, starting at $10,000, and growing by $2,500 each day until someone grabs that tag.
5. If the team finds all 7 prize tags, an additional bonus prize (sometimes bigger than the Power Prize) is awarded.
Returning Champions
Maximum of 5 matches.
College Mad House
Host: J.D. Roth
Announcer: Burton Richardson
Network: CW Network (weekly, nighttime)
Studio: Hollywood Center Studios
Gameplay
Same as usual, with college students instead of kids playing.
The winning team receives $1,000 to split between themselves, and an extra $1,000 for their college. The losing team receives $500 for their college.
The Mad House Run
Same as usual, except cleaning house of all 13 tags is worth a jackpot of $25,000 (+$5,000 each week until won) to split between the team and their college, and a car.
Returning champions
No returning champions, but the top 8 winning teams return at the end of the season for a tournament of champions, and after the first 4 shows, the 2 teams with the most winnings return for the Friday Finals, and the winning team's college receives $100,000, and that team runs the Mad House for up to over $100,000 in cash and prizes for themselves, including a $50,000+ car.
