It was Annoying as hell. Every promo was Catch a Game. This new one is just a simple promo, not an entire network slogan.
As far as Catch a Game goes, it really wasn't the jingle/campaign itself that bothered me... it was how they put out promos in general. Literally the same 1-2 ads replayed over and over again during every commercial break and splitscreen. If they broadened things out, made several different ads under that slogan instead of the same 2, you know, added some variation to it... then it wouldn't have been such a bad set of promotions. And the graphic waves "crashing" on the screen and stuff really weren't appealing either. I actually didn't have any problems with the jingle at first. Then the repetition started. Same goes with one of Shandi's old Playmania ads ("ONE FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!111) and promos for shows like Without Prejudice. Always the same one or two played frequently. Always. All the time. If it gets to the point where I eventually end up reaching for the mute or fast-forward buttons, that's really not a good thing.
As of last month I don't have GSN at home, but from reading observations here, little seems to have changed in this regard.
Cham was saying that every promo was Catch a Game, and I'm saying atleast there were classics and good programming. Family-Friendly. Thats what this network used to be about. To me, Catch a Game was one of the better slogans for summertime because this "The World Needs More Winners" thing is BS. I know it has to do with the people winning on the website and stuff but, its stupid. I wish their slogan was still "Play Every Day" or "The Network for Games".
Just saying is all.
Though I will admit, we did have Match Game '76, 1980 Card Sharks, Russian Roulette, Camouflage, Now You See it, Solo Chuck Lingo, Rafferty's Card Sharks, and so much more other programs that I enjoyed (both old and new). But those ads pissed me off. Days when i couldn't find the remote sucked.

The ad got old after the first week IMO.
Like most ads, the current summer ones will pass.
Not to go off my own topic here, but "Play Every Day" and "The Network for Games" were good slogans. Personally, I think the current slogan should be changed to "The World Needs More Game Shows", but what do I know? I'm not part of the marketing team, so obviously my suggestion must not apply in this scenario.
Also, to compare the commercials, there are very few GSN-created commercials promoting the network's shows nowadays. Every commercial break, I see a promo for The Newlywed Game, Baggage, Improv-A-Ganza or Lingo. No other shows are being promoted at all. This is contrary to 2009 when Regis' Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Deal or No Deal and Bob's 1 VS 100 were getting promoted during breaks, even though they technically weren't "new" shows. It seems that these days, GSN only cares about creating advertisements for their "new" and "recent" original programming. Not for any of the older game shows.
I miss the commercial for Who Wants to be a Millionaire with Regis saying, "Bam, Bam, BAM!" Those were good times, let me tell you.![]()
Every time I hear that "winners" slogan, the next thought in my head is "...but you sure won't find them on GSN."
If I go back through my recordings from 2008-2009, there are ads for things like Vieira and Regis Millionaire and DOND, but there are also the "Rayburn's Eleven" ads, which promoted the 70s and 80s shows, as well as 2000s J! and WoF. And you know what? They actually got very good ratings because they were PROMOTED. If GSN would promote all of their programming, they would have better ratings across the board, instead of the roller coaster ride they've been on for the last several months.
