9AM Dawson Feud Will Cycle Back to 1980 Tomorrow (8/2)

Was watching this morning. They aired Kelsey vs. Bump which aired last December before Christmas. That means we will probably see January 1980 episodes tomorrow. Oh well, at least they haven't been OVERRUN.

The problem is that they cycle everything. If they continue with the status quo, it will get overrun eventually.

It's too bad the PDFs at Buzzerblog are not up yet. I wish I could find out what episode airs.

What families were on the first episode of January 1980?

Ok can someone clear this up, I'm confused. Ok so the 9am episodes are currently in August 1981 right? So why was episodes from Aug '81 airing last December 2010 when the show reverted back to early 1980 in April 2010.. And how are we already seeing episodes that just aired 8 months ago? something doesn't make sense.

One question: Did they really revert back to January 1980 today or are they continuing further into August 1981?

As for why the August 1981 episodes aired last December, I think that seems quite weird. It's a wonder there were no Christmas decorations during that week when it aired during December 13 to 17 last year!

If they do have the rights to all of 1981, we should be seeing Christmas 1981 this coming Christmas.

Right now the episodes airing are from December 1981.We've skipped from episodes in the mid 130s (the episode that aired Friday should have been 81-134), all the way to shows from December 1981.

Yesterday and today's shows are not consecutive, and at this point I'm guessing we've got a couple of random non-Christmas episodes from December to burn off before we hit 400 and cycle back to February 1980. (80-001)

Weird how they skipped over many months of 1981 to get to December 1981. But I wonder why they couldn't stop the limited run in August 1981 instead of having to skip over the remainder of the summer 1981 and the entire fall of 1981? Something doesn't seem right.

Maybe Dawson's Feud had a period of low ratings during August to November 1981, perhaps?

It makes me wonder if GSN will ever pick up the remainder of 1981 and more episodes from the remainder of the peak period someday?

Well according to some guy on the classics forum, GSN only leased 400 episodes so in a few days, he said we'll go back to early 1980.

I was tryin to record all the episodes to DVD b/c I have the feeling Dawson Feud will dissappear soon forever just like all the other classic game shows and now they're screwing the run up.

Extend the MG and FF and Card Sharks lease to 600 episodes! PLEASE?

Today's episode was from early 1980 so the run has officially restarted

Well, I guess the run of 400 episodes was exciting while it lasted. And almost one year after GSN cycled back to the premiere of Jim Perry's Card Sharks.

Looks like the countdown is on to the day they add more episodes.

But if anything good comes out of it, at least it wasn't overrun like Match Game and Card Sharks is.

Since they've gone through all the episodes, they might as well give the show a rest at this point. It's not doing that well in the ratings. I'd like to see them try Password Plus or Super Password in that slot. But if they don't want to acquire anything new, maybe they could try Jeopardy!, since they apparently have the rights to that.

Boo-urns. We need to twist the arms of GSN schedule rats and tell' 'em to get to 1982.
