    Game TV in Canada

As per a post on Invision, Game TV is now airing reruns of the Canadian classic Talkabout from circa 1989-90. I think the show aired longer in Canada than the 130 episodes that were seen in US syndication and later in USA Network reruns. Whether the reruns are from the US seen episodes or the Canadian-only seen episodes is unknown.

And they air endless episodes of Supermarket Sweep. I get the channel, but my dish isn't pointed to the secondary satellite to pick up this channel. Hopefully they'll move it to the primary satellite so I can watch it.

When will Game TV Canada ever start airing these Canadian produced game shows:

    1986-1991 Chain Reaction
    Bumper Stumpers
    Pitfall
    Super Pay Cards
    1987-1988 Lingo
    1986-1987 Monty Hall Split Second
    1971-1974 Beat the Clock
    1977-1978 $128,000 Question

From the network's schedule, it looks like they don't run many pre-1990 game shows. So I really wouldn't hold my breath on any of the listed shows.

The network used to air 24/7 of Game Shows, and has since changed it's format to air Poker Shows overnight, and movies during primetime. And keeping their daytime lineup to Canadian versions of Game Shows, such as "Just Like Mom", and "Super Market Sweep".

There's a chance that we'll see some of the rare Canadian game shows appearing on CTV network in Canada in the near future. The local network is celebrating 50 years, and did a story tonight on the news about Game Shows! I'll keep you informed on anything new I hear about that.

Speaking of Game TV up in Canada, a few years ago, they aired reruns of a old game show that was oriented towards younger adults. The host of the show was a heavyset young man. I believed the show was taped in Toronto. Although the host would ask questions of contestants chosen from the audience, I also remember when the contestant would lay down on a giant wheel to act as a human dial. Then when they spin the wheel, whatever prize the contestant was pointed towards would be the prize they won.
This show is no longer in reruns. Does anyone remember the title of it?
COLOR is nice once or twice, but I want more Black and White

I remember it well. It was like Body Language meets Win, Lose Or Draw.

However, I preferred Body Language more.

Yep. It's listed for today (May 19th).
