    More Schedule Changes Happening Soon....

    Folks,

It is no secret that GSN now knows that they needed to make a change and make it quickly. They realized that Improv and Love Triangle completely failed. Starting next week, GSN is about to go back to basics.

However, how many of you think this change is a start of something new coming? Improv at 12am is not going to last and Baggage airing 4 times a day will not last as well. That means that other schedule changes are going to go into effect soon.

GSN has becoming very clear with us online in the past month on what we feel is best for the network. David Goodhill is really listening to us right now. He is a great great man who wants to see this network do the best it can. Everyone, I ask you, to be nice and suggest what you feel is best to do with certain shows.

I know for a fact right now that the Goodson/Todman library may very well be reacquired if we all keep suggesting what should be done with GSN. Do you want to see our favorite classics back again including (Password, What's My Line?, To Tell the Truth, More Match Game, More Card Sharks, More Classic Feud, Blockbusters, Trivia Trap, Now You See It, Beat the Clock, and others.

Other than Goodson/Todman, what other shows should come back to the lineup? Is Press Your Luck missed the most? Let's Make A Deal? I encourage all of you to rally around and voice your opinion to help make GSN a better network and restore it's greatness once and for all.

    • Add at least another 400 episodes of Match Game 7X and bring back SYN and PM versions
    • Add another 400 episodes of Dawson Feud
    • Add another 200 episodes of both versions of Sharks. I really wanna see more of 1979
    • Bring back Password Plus

I'd also like to see WOF (any season) back and J! On weekdays

I think what you mentioned, CW, does seem strongly possible. But I really would like to see PYL again (even though I don't have a heavy interest in such show since January 2010, but if it comes back my interest may be restored), as I do wish to see Rafferty's Blockbusters (even if it's just on weekends), Super Password, and a season from Vanna's letter-turning days on Wheel of Fortune. Of course, it's all wishful thinking for now.

Maybe GSN might be considering a new-to-GSN season of $25,000 Pyramid once the current lease of 1985-86 episodes runs its course. The way things are going with $25,000 Pyramid, and how much staying power it's retaining (it still isn't off the air yet, and is doing so well despite a fourth cycle!), if it airs right to the end of the lease (like was the case with previous leases to Jeopardy! and Bob Eubanks' Newlywed Game), I can see GSN picking up a fresh new season come next spring.

more classic any maybe a couple revival shows (I heard there are two un-aired pilots of Match Game Revivals (one at tbs one at fox)
maybe if they get he hold of the rights to either of those and build from that that would be great.
Oh and bring back GSN Live

Since your post actually said *other* than Goodson-Todman, I'm going to throw one out there:

Classic Concentration. Popular enough originally that NBC actually got away with reruns for two and a half years after a four year run, and only cancelled it when they got out of game shows *entirely*. It's got Trebek, so there's the Jeopardy tie-in, and it's just a very, very fun show.

"Weekends get a few small changes. On Saturdays Family Feud will air at 4:00PM ET and Chain Reaction moves to 7:30PM ET. On Sundays syndicated Deal or No Deal goes at 11:00AM ET, the NBC edition of Deal will air at 9:00PM ET, Catch 21 at 11:00PM ET, and Chain Reaction at 11:00PM. There’s a lot of shifts so check out the PDFs at the bottom of the page for all the updates."

I would love to see GREED come back, either the old version, or revived in a new series.

I would also like to see GSN acquire Duel and Downfall from ABC.

Personally. I'd love to see WML? and IGAS back, if only for weekends. GSN pretty much tanked the classics crowd in 2009. The loyal B&W at 3-4 AM may not have been huge ratings ' winners, but it did well enough over 15 years to stay as a staple of Game Show Heritage. Seeing those 2 shows..along with TTTT...was a real treat for people who loved game shows and old stars when they were in their prime. Besides, the shows were very good.

Bringing back something like Password Plus, Super Password or Jeopardy pretty much fits in with the direction GSN is going with Lingo and probably new CR.Word games did well before they were removed. They would fit in nicely with CR, Lingo and other similar shows.

I would much appreciate seeing new MG ep's acquired. Ditto CS and 25 K ( what is left) and a new season of 100 k.

If GSN would like to continue with the panel shows like Baggage and NG, wouldn't something like Tattletales fit right in with that concept? Lust Triangle is a poor rip-off of Love Connection. This show is better suited for a less classier network. GSN used to be much better than this.At least Tattletales ...in color...is the type of panel show that GSN seems to want to show.

I hope GSN finds a place for a few more classics. Wonder if GSN would consider doing something they used to do about 7-8 years ago....rotate a few classics during late night slots. Something like NYSI on 1/2 days, WL or D 2 night etc...when you keep airing 4 timeslots of Baggage, people start to get bored. Happened to DOND and Regis. Both are back and doing well after abuse lowered the ratings...even seeing Karn at 9:30 is way too much.
Truly hope GSN listens.....this was my absolute favorite network for many years. Until recently, I pretty much stopped watching. I miss old GSN.

I wish GSN would pick up if it can't get more Goodson-Todman or Sony leases:
    a) Merv Griffin's Crosswords
    b) Temptation: The New Sale of the Century
    c) Supermarket Sweep with David Ruprect
    d) Shop Till You Drop with Pat Finn

Supermarket Sweep definitely would do well. Many people in the target demo grew up watching it and would more than likely love to see it again.

Regardless of era, I'd love to see some TPIR on GSN again. Now I know what the situation with classic TPIR is- Moonves won't have it air anywhere. However, there ought to be some sort of deal that can be made for more recent episodes with Drew Carey. I'd personally rather see some 70s and 80s episodes, but the Carey era seems a lot more realistic of an idea, especially since if they showed anything with Bob Barker, the new episodes on CBS would suffer greatly. It wouldn't be cheap, but it's somewhat current and I'm sure it'd do well in the ratings.

    Smile schedule changes

I would like to see classic Chain Reaction along with GSN Chain Reaction.

Amen to that!! I am in that exact demo that you speak of, and I have been missing Supermarket Sweep and wanting GSN to air it for the longest time now. As a matter of fact, just last week, I sent an email to the people at the "GSN help" section of the website regarding SS, suggesting that they add it to the lineup, and I received a response back saying that my email had been forwarded to the programming department...

The most recent schedule changes certainly seem to be a step in the right direction, and I only hope that they are a sign of things to come in the future; maybe some new Pyramid eps, and new episodes of other classics will show up sometime in the next year, we can only hope for the best. If David Goldhill and the top brass truly do read the boards and take to heart our suggestions and feedback, I must say that it is an incredibly classy gesture of them.

I'd love to see all of Match Game, Jokers Wild, Tic Tac Dough, Classic Concentration, whatever exist of password, all of the Dawson Family Feud, Combs feud, and I have an idea though I don know how well it'd work. Were there several game shows that aired on network or syndicated in prime time once a week? Bring those back and air them in an evening timeslot once a week.

Here's some shows that I think GSN could stand to add:

    Goodson-Todman shows:
Match Game (PM, syndie, and/or more CBS episodes)
    Password Plus
    Super Password
    What's My Line? (Daly)
    I've Got a Secret (Moore)
    Family Feud (Combs)
    Card Sharks (Rafferty)
    Blockbusters (Cullen/Rafferty)

    Other Classics
    Press Your Luck
    Let's Make a Deal (Hall)
    More $25K and/or $100K Pyramid episodes
    The Newlywed Game (Eubanks)

    More Recent Shows
Wheel of Fortune (mid-late 2000's episodes)
Family Feud (O'Hurley's last season and Harvey's first)
    Supermarket Sweep
    Weakest Link
    (Robinson/Gray)
    Greed
    Pyramid
    (Osmond)
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Vieira)
    Minute to Win It

Also, I think Jeopardy! and syndie DoND should be restored to weekdays, and they should look into reviving Chain Reaction and Whammy!/Press Your Luck. It would certainly be nice to see Classic Concentration, and I think it could do well, but hasn't NBC held an iron grip on the show?

That was a story propagated from the earliest years of the network. The show had JUST left NBC and the network wouldn't lease it at the time.
