Believe me Squishmar, if GSN still offered the same high quality prizes they once did in the Buy It Now section, I would definitely be continuing to earn Oodles. But the unfortunate reality is that those good old days have ended. With all the Oodletunities that have been removed within the past 3 weeks, you're lucky to get around 400 Oodles a day now, compared to the 900 you would've gotten per day in the past.

At the rate of earning 400 Oodles a day, with the occasional big Garbage Grab win on Facebook and the occasional promotion to play X number of games to win Oodles, I'd be lucky to rack up 400,000 Oodles after 1,000 days, which is essentially almost 3 years. And that's still not the 500,000 Oodles that originally only took me 2 years to save up. I don't think I want to continue spending 30 minutes a day, for the next 3-4 years, starting all over from scratch again. Who knows if the Oodles program will even exist in 3-4 years from now?

I think everyone who has been here since the GSN Oodles program first began in June 2009, and has stuck through it this long, has the same strategy that I had. Save up as many Oodles as you can and redeem all of them at once for a hopefully valuable prize. Then just stop doing the Oodles program altogether.

I'm sure something valuable will eventually come up for the 200,000 Oodles you've saved there.

And once you've redeemed your entire Oodle balance for something, then you can stop accumulating Oodles if you choose to, just like how I have decided to stop.

I do believe the Oodles deal is winding down. It sure looks that way. First with the majority of the prizes becoming auctions/sweepstakes and now, especially, with the decrease of the daily oodles intake. I mean, that was a drastic cut they did to us. All the signs point to them going over to the World Winner site or just the tokens on this site--which I can't believe anyone would ever buy, but hey, maybe that's just me...

It was fun while it lasted... I'm actually kind of relieved that my "routine" of collecting oodles was discontinued. I have a tendency to be a little obsessive and so I was with what should have been a fun thing....

    To Rose and Rachel:

I'm one of the ones who joined Facebook just for Dumbville and Garbage Grab... but I don't think you could use a fake name because it's somehow hooked up to your GSN account, isn't it? Not sure. But yeah, I don't accept any friend requests, or anything like that... it's strictly for GSN (I also use it for the GSN Chatters page).

Half the people on my friend list have a fake name attached to their FB account.

And I accept friend requests from people who play dumbville because, everytime they fail a level, I get 5 oodles. it used to amount to alot of oodles at the end of the day, but so many people are finishing the levels available(make more levels gsn!) that most people are finished with the 34 levels and, like me, are waiting for new ones.

I knew you could definitely do a Facebook page with a fake name but I just thought that because it was hooked up to our GSN account that it would have to be the name you're signed up here with. If not, I'm bummed I didn't sign up using a fake name.

I quit Dumbville after Level 5. I bow down to you for making it through all of them so fast! I just get so frustrated... especially when it's not that I don't know it but that something gets screwy with the execution of finishing it correctly (like those darn signs wouldn't "hang" right on the correct picture). And it really sucks that after so many fails they don't give you ANY oodles. But maybe I'll try it again.

BTW... I'm watching "Phantom of the Paradise" tonight (for the zillionth time). Your picture has made me miss it!

well you use your login info for gsn's site, so a real name on the profile isnt necessary

HI, I play everyday for almost 5 to 6 hours a day i know im addicted, I've never gone on this site but one other time since they added comm. to the newly added list of crap, Just wanted to say i was looking for a place to either start a question or read one about the actions And was i ever lucky the first place i came was here, and your post was the first thing here. I have had almost every question you spoke of, I only have a little over 100,000 oodles saved, when you spoke of how many you had and the prize you finally won, I must say im exstreamly happy for you, and on the same (token) lol I am worried if i will ever reach that many I hoped that other's felt the way i did about these actions I joined just because at the time they offered a TV as a buy now item I have only redeemed my Oodles for 2 items A bathroom scale, and the black dimond headlight, only to wish i had of saved them. I finally have some idea what amount of Oodles it would take to to get anything good I just can't force myself to even spend the so called entry fee on an item i won't get and lose god only knows how many Oodles to loose, I think one thing that keeps messing me up is the when they say win 12,000 Oodles here or so many there, I automatically think well they just won a really nice item, So why even try, I thank you lots for all the info. Not sure if i should of replyed directly to you but these post are pretty old and i really wanted to get this off my mind. I wondered if I e-mailed help and told them i think it would be a great idea If they change the Ice cube and the fire to number amounts so a person could at least know if they were even in the same ball park I think a dail or a sign like on Turbo boost would help starting with O and going to a crazy number they could even keep the colors! lol Well i don't wanta keep rambling on this post was awsome and thanks for all the other's who replied sounds like were all on the same page when it comes to redeeming these Oodles Looks like I will be playing for sometime to come, I to just hope they don't switch to a pay site and make me feel really foolish for all the hours spent on here all my freinds and famliy think im wasting my time, You have gave me alot of hope tonight, Again I thank you, and everyone who gave input on this thread. Just wondered if the ppl who have bought things with a credit card have an advantage over those Who don't?

I spend many hours here too, Debbie. There have been many changes that I haven't been too happy about (and most people here feel the same way) but as long as there are still *some* prizes to be had, I'll stay. Like I said in the other posts, I've now given in and bid (and won) some auctions too.... something I swore I would never do. But it's not that bad. I still hold out hope they'll add more buy-it-now prizes. It's really what almost EVERYBODY wants but they (GSN) just don't seem to care. It's extremely frustrating.

I didn't understand your last sentence about the credit cards and having an advantage? Do you mean the Cash Competitions (World Winner) or the tokens? Also, an advantage in *what* exactly?
