Well thanks for the info. I had been away for a while and came back with oodles of tokens and didn't know what to do with them.
Think it through folks - the tokens are being rolled out in advance of online gambling legalization. Governments, hurting for cash, are looking at online poker and other online gambling options to pad their budgets. GSN is rolling out these tokens in advance of that likely outcome so that they will be able to cash in on the action. I agree with other posters though - the way this has been introduced to the loyal members of this site has been a PR disaster.
That may very well be, but right now at this point of time, our state does not allow the on-line gambling. We cannot purchase a lottery ticket or scratch off tickets using our ATM card and, I am not positive, or write a check. For scratch-offs and for lottery tickets it is cash only. So, they would have to change the law here before that will happen.
I couldn't play the cash games if I wanted to. But, this is entirely okay with me. I don't like to gamble. Well, life is a gamble and that is enough for me. When it comes to my money, I want to see what I get when I spend cash.
They give me the tokens. I use them to play their game of the day/week/month. I usually bet the second to lowest number and I don't think I will ever run out of tokens. I have over a 1/4 of a million tokens. They aren't good for anything but playing the casino games. It doesn't take long to lose a lot of them, and if people are betting huge amounts, there tokens will be gone before they know it.
I prefer the oodles and love to collect them. Those we have to work for and some of the games require brain usage. These are the games I prefer. But, tokens are here and it looks like they will be for awhile. No matter how much we complain. I am not going to get bent out of shape over them. The only thing I get upset about and it is short-lived is when an ad messes up your game. But, even that is much better now.
Like we've said before... we wouldn't care about the Casino/Tokens at all IF they hadn't have encroached on the oodles. Yes, there is a place for both but prove that by setting up a separate casino where you don't just add two new games and instead steal all of what used to be Oodleland PLUS take away two big oodletunities with Double Trouble and Deal or No Deal and stick THOSE in the new Casino as well. That's what the uproar was all about. What would I care if they just added a new Casino with new games and tokens? I wouldn't ... but that is NOT what they did. And what they did BELIES the GSN Party Line about there being something for everyone... cash games, free games and token games. Not true. They had to take free games and oodles games and convert them.

You either purchase them or just wait until you see the token spinner when you log in the next day. But chances are you may not get much from the token spinner. I don't suggest purchasing them unless you want to. I think that's the most stupidest thing, purchasing tokens.

Like phimat said though... you do get free ones every single day you log in. Even when you don't actually SEE the Token Spinner Wheel, you are credited them in your account.
And you get more if you log-in consecutively (day after day)... so try not to skip a day.
Wish I could transfer some of mine to you... I have over 600,000 of them and I don't play the Casino games unless it's for the Oodles promotions.
Just remember, the tokens are not good for anything but playing the casino games. You don't get anything for winning except for more tokens to play more casino games.

I don't like all the cash games tokens are ok not as good as oodles. Also they never post the monthly winners of sweepstake drawings. Whynot? More oodles to enter the sweepstakes not tokens> L. Traurig---Texas.
i bought the 200K tokens for 19.99 in good faith but was then disallowed to play in any token tournaments--except in slots games where they can more or less 'contol' the losing factor. help was no help. very disappointed. i love the slots for the thrill and love competing in other token tourney games for higher denominations. it's simply fun to me.
yes i have money to spend and time to spend it but it looks like GSN is not interested. if i can't play in token tournies, do tell me why i would buy any more???????????????????

I'm fairly surprised since they are making money off the tokens they haven't at least did a token to oodle ratio. Even if it's one sided, I'm sure people would still convert the tokens to oodles. Honestly, it might even make more people buy tokens. Too bad you can't transfer tokens. I'd help a lot of people who like the token games out. I have the max amount of tokens. 10 billion. Give a bunch of people a few million tokens and then just earn them right back on black jack. I guess it would cost gsn money though since they wouldn't be buying tokens.
