Are You Tired Sipping Through the Straw Game.....for OODLES to get on the LEADERBOARD

I have been sipping through straws since I joined GSN...and have never scored over 300 points...

How in the world that users are getting HIGH SCORES....Is GSN posting fictious scores for users on the LEADERBOARD....These scores are not likely to be scored...These users have 500 or more points....

What's the TRICK?

GSN just had Thirsty Thursday for the STRAW game and they want us to play this game again for Weekend Warrior....GSN could have selected another game...I am really tired of SIPPING through straw....

I have given up playing Straws. I only click on it to get my Wonder Wheel spin each day and these promotions, what I do is just load the game and then "Juice It" through the three rounds. I'm done in about 2 seconds. My brain just doesn't get this type of geometry needed to play well.

"Games" by definition are supposed to fun, aren't they? Well STRAWS isn't fun at all, for me anyway. It should be called "Chinese Orange Juice Torture" or something. haha I even dread having to play it even once, just to get a free spin of the Wonder Wheel. So yeah, I definitely just "juice it" right off the bat through all 3 rounds just like squishmar, so I can get on with other games that are actually fun.

I guess I'm one of the few who actually like straws even though I find it extremely frustrating at times, mainly because I get down to needing one particular shape and, of course, that shape never comes up. As for scoring, the more loops you can make, the higher your score. The exception to this is if the pitcher and cup are close and you can connect them quickly and get the time bonus points. My highest score has been around 1700 but that's rare for me; usually it's around 1000.

"Chinese orange juice torture" ahahaha No straws is not fun for me either at all, but people's brains do work differently. Some people like logic - I'm not one of them. I like my word games

I've talked about this before... I find it interesting how different brains work. I can't do the fluid geometry for Straws but I'm good at spatial geometry and games like Mahjongg. In real life, I can pack full a dishwasher within an inch of its life and a freezer too.

Another example... I love word games but mostly crosswords... I'm really not great at anagrams.

And I love that name "Chinese Orange Juice Torture Game"!

I LOVE Straws! I play it everyday until I get a score on the Leaderboard. Some days I can do it on my first try, other days it take a few tries.

Just kidding.... I guess there are those that like it. I just can't for the life of me "get" that game. I am in awe and bow down to you.

I like straws but cant get on the leader board. How people can average 1000 points per round is beyond me. You only get 50 for loops even if you make more then one. There has to be a cliche like with eggs. Click help on eggs and they move faster. Still cant get on that board either:P

I totally agree! I've tried and tried on this games and can't get anywhere. I don't understand how the people on the leaderboards get there.

I usually get anywhere from 800 to 1400 points, but I can't figure out how to get points for making loops! All that happens is, at the end of the round, I get 10 points deducted for each piece I used to make the loop. What up with that?!

I can usually get some where from 1,100-1,500. The best that I ever got was 1,685 and that still didn't make it to the Leaderboard. I only play 1 game of Straws a day just to get my free spin on The Wonder Wheel.

You can get a high score by filling in as many cross pieces as possible. I've filled in as many as 16 cross pieces in the first round. So far the highest I've scored in the first round was about 1300.

Wow, ExcellentPlayer, that's impressive. I can typically get 5 or 6 loops in the first round but can't seem to get more than that. Any tips?
