Before I get on with the rules (see next post), you guys should know I am contemplating UGSAS's future. I'm thinking this may be the last installment. Or I may do one more to make it an even twenty installments before calling it done. (I'll probably do at least one more ToL, too.)
There are a couple of reasons for this. One, I'm running out of announcers. Although I still have some in the queue and, I think, one or two in the ToL/Masters rotation that haven't been in the main game yet, I'll soon have used up almost every one I know of or can think of.
Second, and this is a more personal reason, I've become bored with doing this. I started this, what, four or five years ago (EDIT: UGSAS goes back to 2004, so seven years now. Eeep!)? Maybe further back than that? Usually if you're bored with something, it's a sign you have to stop and move on.

But enough of that. On to the rules.
1) UPDATE! Five votes eliminates an announcer. One more is added for every two divisions until we get to 13 votes. An announcer in the danger zone will have their name bolded.
2) Only one vote may be cast per day. I will try to update the standings every night circa 11 pm ET/8 pm PT. If I update early, you can vote again.
3) Seek Revenge ~ Someone who has voted correctly ten times will get to "seek revenge" ONCE on an announcer's behalf. Also be aware that the announcer you bring back may be brough back only one time. So, I advise you to use this feature wisely. Seek Revenge may be used on any of the six most recent announcers to be eliminated, up to a maximum of three days after their respective eliminations, and may not be used once the highest division is reached.
4) You may vote for an announcer up to ten times, but you may not vote them off single-handedly. Nor may you vote for one more than four times in a row. If an announcer has sought revenge, the number of times you voted for them prior to the SR carry over.
5) Move-ups, Super Move-Up, and the Ultimate Move-Up ~ When we hit the highest division, you'll have a shot at moving an announcer up a divison. When we hit the second highest division, you'll have the chance to move an announcer up TWO divisions (Super Move-Up). When we hit the third highest division, you can move an announcer up THREE (yes, THREE!) divisions--the ULTIMATE Move-Up! Regardless of which Move-Up it is, it will require ten votes to move an announcer up. You may use the Ultimate Move-Up and the Super Move-Up in conjunction with the regular Move-Up, but no announcer can go higher than the highest division. (Divisions will be numbered.) If you do not state a vote for any of the Move-ups, it will count as a "No vote". All participants are encouraged to vote here, even if they do state "No vote".
6) Devolution ~ When we hit the top three divisions, you will have the option to move an announcer down one, two, or THREE divisions, coinciding with the Move-ups (e.g., the Triple Devolution will be decided the same time as the Ultimate Move-Up). The first to ten votes will devolve. If you do not state a vote for either of the Devolutions, it will count as a "No vote". Again, all participants are encouraged to vote, even if they do state "No vote".
7) Sudden Death ~ If you want an announcer gone quick, fast, and in a hurry, this is how you do it. Nominate them for Sudden Death, and everyone votes on whether or not that announcer stays or goes. Majority rules; ties always favour the announcer. You may use it only ONCE per announcer.
7a) Sudden Death Appeal ~ Use this if you want to re-nominate someone for Sudden Death who survived previously.
8) Freeze Frame ~ This may be used two times per announcer, and TWO TIMES ONLY, even if someone has sought revenge. If an announcer is protected by this feature, you may not vote for them for three days (after my update, that is). It goes into effect the minute someone uses it; but it may not be used when an announcer is facing Sudden Death, or when one has two votes or less to their name. Freeze frames aren't stackable; one must expire before the second is used. When we're up to the highest division, or when less than half of the remaining announcers are available for voting, this option will cease to exist. If a player is caught "burning a freeze frame" at any time, an additional freeze frame will be given to the announcer (up to five); and the offender will be given a strike.
9) BRE\-/KDOWN ~ This may be used once per announcer. This feature will subtract four votes from an announcer's total. This can be used while an announcer is protected by Freeze Frame; but it will not affect Sudden Death voting. If it was already used the first time, you may NOT use it a second time after an announcer has sought revenge.
10) Twenty-one ~ After 21 announcers have been eliminated, I will ask a trivia question with a numerical answer. The first person to get it correct, or the person who comes closest without going over has the chance to flip-flop the positions of any of the first 21 eliminated announcers. If they think the placement of announcers is fine as it is, they can take a free Seek Revenge instead. However, they may not use it on a host who has already sought revenge.
11) Reverse Twenty-one ~ When there are 21 announcers remaining, I will ask another trivia question with a numerical answer. The first person to get it correct, or the person who comes closest to the correct answer without going over, will get to exchange an announcer who is remaining for any of the last 21 announcers who have been voted off. If they think the placement is fine as it is, that's okay too.
THREE catches: A) If you won Twenty-one, you are ineligible to win Reverse Twenty-one; B) The eliminated announcer may NOT be brought back via Seek Revenge. (However, they're still eligible for the Move-ups.); and C) The announcer who returns to the game MUST be voted out the hard way.
12) 10-spot ~ This is like Sudden Death in reverse. You nominate an announcer to need ten votes to be eliminated, regardless of division. The next day, everyone votes. Again, majority rules; a tie means an announcer is not protected by 10-spot. You may use it with any other feature; but you may not nominate an announcer for the 10-spot and Sudden Death on the same day. 10-spotted announcers may still be nominated for Sudden Death; and they may also be protected by Freeze Frame. Only three nominations per day; and only eight announcers may be protected at one time. 10-spots expire when ten votes are required to eliminate an announcer.
13) Cancellation ~ This is for when you think an announcer is getting so screwed over that 10-spots and Freeze Frames just aren't doing their jobs, in your opinion. Nominate an announcer for this; and, the following day, a panel of three people--Neko, Mandy (racingchick) and Shelly (tattooed) (with fandude as our alternate)--will decide if abuse has taken place. Panelists have a maximum of TWO DAYS to come to a decision.
* If two agree, then Cancellation will take effect and the group may take one of four actions: Automatically validate Sudden Death (appeal still possible), a bonus Freeze Frame, a free Seek Revenge, or an extra BRE\-/K DOWN!
* If all three people agree, then True Cancellation will take effect, and three things will happen: 1) Sudden Death will be automatically validated (no appeal); 2) All Freeze Frames and BRE\-/K DOWNs! will count double; 3) The announcer will require 21 votes to be eliminated.
* If all three of us decide no abuse has occurred, we will decide if the feature itself was misused. If so, either half a strike or a full strike will be handed out, depending on the situation.
Because of the strength of this feature, each player has only TWO chances to use this. Cancellation will no longer be valid when we hit the fourth highest division. Also, you may NOT use this in tandem with a 10-spot.
14) Once we're down to two announcers, 25 votes are required to declare a winner. The winner will then be retired to the Hall of Fame. To be eligible to vote when we reach the Final Two, you must have voted correctly at least seven times.
15) DISCLAIMER: This is only a game. Participants do not intend to insult or demean any of the "participating" announcers, or anyone else involved with game shows, past or present.
16) This should go without saying; but...no ad-hominem attacks on the announcers or the players, please. If you are caught doing this, you will receive a strike for misconduct.
Also expect Punishment Time, Bonus Vote Days, Triple Vote Days, and Triple Threats every so often.

Wow. You feel the same way I do. To be honest, I've been kinda bored with the game for the last year or so and only been keeping it going because of the cult following which is starting to disappear here. That's why I introduced things like BONUS VOTE DAY, was to try to rejuvenate interest but I'm really not as even into game shows or GSN as I used to be.
Vote: MG Kelly.
Upcoming Shows: Iron Maiden, Devore, September 13
Kamelot, Anaheim, September 21

I'm thinking of starting my own Ultimate Survivor soon. So, I'll play this one to get a feel for how the game is done.

Steve White...
Oh, god, my ears! Help! ~ 3 | He sounds alright to me; keep him around! ~ 3
Tie favours the announcer. He shall stay. For now, anyway.
So everyone remains in the game, and this time, someone's up for a 10-spot. Everyone may vote for today!
