How do we earn oodles via leaderboards?
OK, so I know that the top players on the leaderboard of a game gets oodles. And I know that, when you go to the main page of each game, there's a link that tells you exactly which positions on the leaderboard will earn an x amount oodles. But how does that work exactly? Is it every time that you land in one of those positions that you'll get rewarded, or is it at an average? Is it at a certain time of the day that this is monitored and THEN those players get rewarded (ie. whoever happens to be in the top position at that hour). I'd just like to know because I've been in one of those top positions more than once and yet I don't see I've earned any oodles from that. Thanks in advance, and sorry if the question is confusing.
the leaderboards are daily. lasting from midnight-midnight (eastern time).
it places your highest score that you earned on that game that day, and if by midnight you place in the top 300 or 500 or whatever, you earn the oodles for what rank you got.
Yes, you still have to be on the leaderboard at the end of the day to win oodles. Just because you show up on the board in the middle of the day doesn't mean you won't be knocked off by the end of the day. I like to take a look at what sort of scores seem to last and go for those, rather than settle on a score that just barely makes the board.
Thanks so much for the clarification and tips!
And you can only better your score and ranking on the board if you keep playing...you can't knock yourself down. So keep at it and you'll maybe improve your standing for the end of the day.
Oh, I guess Rachel said that... you're busier than I am on these boards these days! I feel like I can relax because you'll be there to help out anybody with questions... you too mellowcandle! It's nice to answer things for people and help them out, isn't it?
