Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. Consider this as if ThisIsJEOPARDY just started this game. It's a tribute to Dick Clark. By the way, in my opinion, only respond if you're going to play. (which I am not but I am just trying to make a point).

There was an issue on the old board when someone decided to bump up a bunch of old threads based on one game (I think it might have been Wheel of Fortune, but I'm not sure) because someone passed away. I got pissed when that happened.

Unless the thread is important, I see no need to bump up threads. I'm sorry, but that's my thought.
