What kind of car do you drive?

If you have one, what do you use to get where you are goin'. Tell a story or two about why you love - or hate - your ride.

Here's mine, a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (and no, that's not my real plate....for the sake of lifeless douchebags trying to steal parts from it, I covered it up for YouTube.) Pretty cool....not many cars today which are V-8 powered and can keep up with LS9 Corvettes, and then haul groceries at the end of the day. Details under the hood classified, of course, but chances are it's faster than anything you have ever driven And yes, that speedometer can get maxed out (I won't tell where I found that out, except it wasn't anywhere near anyone on the boards lives. )

It's got a few more miles on it (92,300 now; this video was from 2 summers ago) but I've run it over traffic islands, through the woods, slammed the trunk and doors, been rearended without any damage, and only paid $6k for it (but guaranteed there's some, eh, "private investment" underneath that gigantic hood!). Actually keeps the neighborhood safe, and I have a ton of stories about people thinking I'm cops....but I've gotten out of at least one ticket by telling the cop that I didn't know how to drive it right

So that's my story. What's yours? (Even if you are like my girlfriend and have a Vespa, that counts. Just no skateboards, please.)

I have an Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition that I lovingly refer to as "Big Daddy." I got him from a friend of ours from Chicago. My friends think it's hilarious to see such a skinny, city girl, girly-girl-type in a huge truck, but I can take the teasing! The best part is that he is completely paid for, and all mine.

One of the best cars ever. I liked when they were big and powered with V8's in them....now everybody wants Ford's Ecoboost technology in them, and the Explorer's like a Subaru Outback (it's actually built on the same line as the Taurus, which shows how similar they are.

No prob.....it's expensive to maintain a car regardless. I know mine, even with the tune, drinks fuel, beats up on clutch plates, misfires on the sparks, and all that stuff. I remember that you said you took the bus everywhere....I looked up the fleet for Metrobus, and you have a fine set of rides up there - MCI coach, NovaBus LFS, and a couple of Orion V's....a balanced fleet IMO. I wish I could own one of the latter of the three myself

One of the most reliable cars out there....amazing how they were built under the hood. Same 2.2 liter I-4 pushrod was used when my Dad bought a Cavalier back in 1990. One thing NEVER to do is stick an exhaust on it and think it's "cool". It's not

Mine is an older one (1997), and they were built on the F-150 chassis back then, with a V-8. The guy I bought it from has been a family friend for 15 years - he was the original owner and he babied it (it's almost 15 years old and has just over 112k miles now, which is astoundingly low). This is honestly the first real truck I've ever owned, and I have loved it since the day I bought it. It has a ton of power, and gets surprisingly good gas mileage for its size and age, because it has been so well-maintained. If I can bear to do it (and it wouldn't be easy LOL!), I may pass it down to my teenage son, at some point, but I would have to find a suitable replacement, and that hasn't happened yet.
