Sorry about that. I've passed on your post so no more movie endings will be used as questions.

thank you angel for passing it on
I know this year is the big 50th anniversary of the film, and gsn likes to form trivia questions about things that are currently trending, but they could have asked many things about the picture, like the actors who played roles or songs/score, not ruin the whole bloody picture for us.
anything you wanna tell us about the sixth sense, gsn?

Hmmmm. I must have missed that question. Was it a noon one? I've only missed one in several weeeks.
As a slight defense to GSN, "West Side Story" is a re-telling of "Romeo and Juliet" and I think everybody knows that that does not end well.
yea, i think it was a nooner
and dont spoil R&J for me i havent read/seen it yet!
j/k, i know the 500 year old story, just havent seen the 50 year old story yet
and even though its a modern day (for '61) retelling of the old story, R&J kill themselves, not killed by anyone else.
well, one of these days i'll get around to seeing it when it comes on TCM again.......one of these days.
West Side Story is so good... and I know you were kidding about "Romeo and Juliet" but have you ever seen the Franco Zeffirelli 1968 version? It's the absolute best one ever!
Actually, West Side Story is a musical adaption based on Romeo and Juliet. Instead of feuding families you have feuding gangs.
See West Side Story at Wikipedia for more info.
Oh my, yes!, I own the zeffirelli one on vhs and i have the movies original score on LP.
I dont like the more recent one with dicaprio, to me, R&J never needed glitz and guns.
and the one from '35 with norma shearer, it bored me to death. it was like someone badly filmed the play, everything was in one frame (i like classic pictures and this bored me)
Yeah. That's what I said two posts above yours.
Rachel... Sooooo glad you love that one too. I own it on VHS too. Is it not available yet on DVD or do we just have our old copies? Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting are just incredible. The only thing I liked about Baz Luhrmann's version is the guy who played Mercutio (Harold Perrineau.... who also starred in "Lost"). He was really good.
oh, olivia hussy and leonard whiting were perfect together, they portrayed the ails of young star-crossed lovers magnificently.
olivia was quite beautiful, still is, she has aged gracefully
and leonard, oh my, he was a doll (and i admit i abused my rewind and pause buttons a bit, =P ). i havent seen any pictures of him lately, but i bet he can still make the girls swoon.
Actually, when I was Googling them, there's a current picture of the two of them together! It was nice... almost as if they lived happily ever after, after all!
Hmmmm...WHICH part were you rewinding and pausing? I'm trying to think....![]()
A little off topic but I see in the TV Guide that a West Side Story reunion - Rita Moreno, Russ Tamberlin, George Chakaris (excuse the spelling of the names) - will be on The Talk on Wednesday.
