Is a Jar of some kind of canned beets or something reddish looking! I have no clue where they came from? So I'm afraid to eat them! Everytime I reach for them I say to myself, oh no I better not. That's because I think they have been in there for like 3 years or more! yikes!!

Okay, I may not have the oldest... (my, there are some ancient things people have!) but it's probably the most toxic. My husband and I went on a seafood spree one night and bought shrimp and steamed clams and sushi and tilapia.... AND a small jar of oysters. We ate everything but the oysters. Now they ARE in a sealed jar... but the expiration date was July. I think about throwing them away all the time but I think I'll need a HAZ-MAT suit... I'm afraid they'll explode like unstable nitroglycerine if they're jostled at all!!

Probably a homemade jar of simple syrup. I'm not sure how long it's been there, but it does have some cool sugar crystals growing in it!

I've got some moldy old cheese that's probably not all that bad if I scraped it up (or off) or something!! I think cheese is supposed to be moldy anyway!!
