Apparently GSN doesn't want to get high ratings since they're getting rid of shows like Chain Reaction and 25K Pyramid-which are getting high numbers for their time slots.

Also can't believe how well Sherri did on Tuesday night. Just proves new eps should come back soon

And does anyone else notice Deal or No Deal is not just out of the top 10 but the top 20 also.

GSN is keeping 25K Pyramid on Friday night, where it's getting the good numbers. The show wasn't doing anything at 2:00AM, so GSN is trying Jeopardy instead. At 10:30AM GSN is replacing Pyramid with...Pyramid. No real difference, as other posters have commented.

Yeah, but why take out one Pyramid for the other? Why not recreate the Pyramid hour we had not too long ago?

Agreed....unless GSN is trying to get viewers to watch the Pyramid ep's with the tournament. Perhaps they are getting a new year of 100 K episodes since there are more episodes left of 100 K.

I don't get why CR was pulled. Not a fan, but it has solid numbers.

Can't believe it to considering its been getting average number in the high 200's (which is great for daytime), and often has been hiting 300's and last week hit 430K, which is unbelievable for a show like that.

Woolery Lingo is now on 3 times a day which is almost too much. I'm a fan of the show, but it could get worn out quickly.

Also, 5 strange things I've noticed about the top 20 ratings from this past week compared to other weeks...

    - As usual, Family Feud dominates but one host specifically... Out of the 8 Family Feud blocks in the top 20, John O'Hurley is 4 of them (which is half), but overall he has had higher ratings than Karn.

    - Deal or No Deal is a little less popular...it's not even in the top 20. The first three slots in comes in are 22nd, 33rd, and 40th. Only two out of those three spots have 300K+ viewers.

    - Speaking of popularity, The Newlywed Game is getting a lot of it landing twice in the top 10. During its Tuesday night marathon, it almost reached 500K viewers coming in 4th place for the week. Looks like they should start showing new episodes again soon

    - Shows that GSN refuses to keep for 2012 are both in the top 20. I'm talking about Chain Reaction and 25K Pyramid.

    - Also, Baggage and Whammy also squeeze in the top 20. Starting in 2012, Whammy will be shown 3 times a day on Saturday's and Sundays. (9:30am, 10:00am* and 3:00pm) *=replacing Chain Reaction

FYI...when Password Plus was removed back in 09 for CR( I think), the ratings were 275-ish for the week. Had a pretty high 300. Sometimes, GSN's timing is peculiar. Guess they made that decision weeks ago.
I would rather see Woolery over Dirty Lingo any day.But I love that version and have seen the shows about 7 times over, so I know what you mean.

The syndie DOND NEVER had the appeal of the first DOND. People shouldn't be surprised when those ratings were so-so.When original DOND gets so-so ratings, GSN should be alarmed.

Deal or No Deal is being run down over and over again. Like so many other shows including The Newlywed Game, Baggage, Lingo, Match Game, Love Triangle, (tired of typing) Improv, Family Feud and so on. (I do have to say I like NG, Baggage, Lingo and Match Game in general). But as I said earlier, Deal or No Deal didn't even make the top 20 for the week of November 28-December 4. The legacy of the show will hopefully die down (like Who Wants to be a Millionaire on GSN), and be replaced with classics hopefully.

I hope GSN catches on soon and realizes that shows like 1 vs. 100, Million Dollar Password, Power of 10 and Deal or No Deal (in other words old shows from other, bigger networks) are not want viewers want. Lately, the ratings have shown that shows that keep GSN alive are classics (25K Pyramid, 100K Pyramid, Card Sharks and other classics they haven't shown in years) and originals (The Newlywed Game, Baggage and Lingo) keep the network alive.

This may be a really dumb audience turn off move but what if GSN showed an hour or two each week of game shows that lasted a season or less. Ones that people have forgotten altogether ($1 Million Dollar Chance of a Lifetime, Monopoly) or remakes that were horrid (like TTD, TJW). It could air on Saturday or Sunday. Bad idea?

Monopoly doesn't sound like a bad idea. Considering there are less than 20 shows that air on GSN right now, they need more variety. I would like GSN to obtain Don't Forget the Lyrics. As long as they don't make a marathon night out of it.

It wouldn't work. If there's any game show they would be returning, it would have multiple episodes and people would have to have a slight memory of it. Password Plus would be an excellent example, many episodes, and some people know it

GSN needs to seriously re-do their schedule in the mornings, it flat out sucks and the ratings prove it.

Overall, some ratings aren't that bad in the morning for some of the shows. Match Game and Family Feud are simply getting shown over and over again too much. They definitely need to mix the morning up, but they should still keep only 1 Match Game, 1 Pyramid (25K or 100K), 1 Card Sharks and 1 Dawson Family Feud for late mornings. All those shows have potential for high 200K ratings in the morning if they just show different episodes of the shows. Otherwise for the schedule they should lease more classics.
