Prizes are getting more and more lame!!!

Does anyone who has been playing this site for more than a year, feel at least a little ripped off by the decline in prize quality and value? When I started on this site two years ago, one could with about 465,000 oodles get a LARGE flat screen TV. There were also a number of other nice prizes in electronics, Kitchen sink etc. I got a pair of binoculars last Christmas, and a retro kitchen scale last May. since then all of the prizes are of the caliber of magazine subscriptions lumbar packs and lip balm. During the cyber Monday auctions I tried to get a Target Gift card and couldn't , my largest bid was 325,000. Are you guys kidding me with this? Still playing and hoping for the best, but for the tens of thousands of commercials I have patiently had to sit through I think we deserve a little better than lip balm!

I won a top prize in the chocolate sweepstakes and should have received a chocolates basket and just received 8oz of chocolate caramels. Do you think this is MAJOR misrepresentation? I hope GSN gets better or rehires a staff that can do the job better. I know of a lot of people who are desperate for jobs.

I have over 300k oodles and I refuse to play anymore to increase my oodles count.... it's now a waste of time! I come back onto GSN once a week and spend my oodles participating in the Weekly Win-It and that's it. Until GSN stocks up on decent Buy-It Now prizes, I'm done with this site for the most part. Once they do away with the Weekly Win-It competitions (which they will eventually), I'll cash out on some random sweepstakes and be done for good. There are other gaming sites out there which actually make it fun and profitable to participate on their site... I just can't post them specifically on here. Send me a PM if interested.

Do you remember when they discontinued gsnlive they promised us bigger and better prizes and how everything was going to become so much better in the fall. Well, fall has come and will be leaving us for winter on December 21. They led us to believe that we would all benefit from this big change. When they stopped the call-ins and had called people in advance for showings up into June, I was one of the few lucky players that had a chance to play and win. I did win $200 at that time. That was the last of my winnings.

Now they have the auctions and sweepstakes. Which, I don't care for at all. The only buy it now prizes that I think is worth anything is the donations to ACS and the books they have. When they have one that I may like, I buy it. I could probably buy it at WalMart for $5.97.

I feel that now the oodles are almost worth nothing, (although I do like to see my oodles count grow) and the tokens they give us are only good to play the casino games.

Whoever is making these decisions is ruining gsn. They are going to lose a lot of their people. Even the new people coming in are saying how so many other sites are better than this one. Someone needs to wake up and start trying to find things to keep us here.

I totally agree with the above posts. I've been on the fence about quitting this site hoping for a resurgence of good prizes. I don't think its gonna happen.

    goodbye GSN.

I did. I actually had every intent of buying the TV with my oodles. And I was right there when they stopped selling it. Then all the good prizes went to "Bid For it", and I tried for nearly a year before finally getting my big prize... an XBox 360 with Kinect for 509,000 oodles. I finally figured out it wasn't worth it, so I zeroed out both my oodle and token count and chose to leave the program.

Whoever it was that cheapened out GSN's oodle program needs to be shot. There's no chance at a good prize anymore because in order to rack up half a million oodles, you would need 3-4 years to do it. All that for a $200 gift card? That's about a dollar a week.

Upcoming Shows: Iron Maiden, Devore, September 13
    Kamelot, Anaheim, September 21

I have also been a GSN member for quite sometime. and I too, saved for the big prizes but too my dismay they were no longer offered by the time I was upward of 300,000 oodles, At the time I was not too upset because there was still quite a few smaller prizes worth my time ..but I have watched them go away very quickly..I wasn't expecting less as soon as I start seeing the auctions..It is sad that I dont spend very much time here anymore. But if anyone is waiting for the Old GSN to come back. Sorry, I dont beleive this will happen. Quite a few of us started asking for it, when we saw the beginning of the end.
I haved learned to except what they have to offer.which is not many attainable prizes, just a way to past the time on occasion. I now spend more time on other sites.

I agree with you 100%. I need or want a lip balm or magazine subscription like I need or want a hole in my head. Saving mega points to enter a sweepstakes in hopes of winning a good prize is about as useless as tits on a boar. I pretty much quit playing on GSN and switched over to World Winner. At least I can get gift cards there with my points. GSN used to be a neat site, I'd spend hours playing, but not any more. The junk they call buy it now prizes aren't worth the time it takes to sit through all the ads.
