Saturday night Dancin', Christmas weekend marathons

GSN has announced the date of when Dancing with The Stars will start airing on the network. It will start Saturday, January 21 at 6PM (Eastern). Though, I'm not sure if it will continue to midnight and replace all the Family Feud episodes. Hopefully not.

Also, some changes to the Christmas weekend marathons. The Family Feud marathons stays on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Friday, December 23rd, $100K Pyramid will replace the rest of Flashback Friday, Chain Reaction gets a marathon on Monday, December 26 from 7PM to Midnight, and another 100K Pyramid marathon Friday, December 30 from 7-Midnight.

Makes me wonder if The $100,000 Pyramid will end up dominating Friday nights as we head into the new year? I hope it doesn't replace the back-to-back airings of CS.

And I am guessing that Dancing With The Stars will be a Saturday night program for a while. Just like 5th Grader airs on Sundays at this moment.

If it replaces the Saturday night marathons of Feud, at least one good thing will come out of it - all this overkill of 21st century Feud will be reduced by 10 airings. So that may be a step in the right direction.

Sorry, but the $100K Pyramid marathon on Fridays is a permanent change. CS, MG, and FF will be gone from Friday nights after this week: http://www.facebook.com/buzzerblog/p...50468968283493

Won't complain about Monday Nights being all originals, a different original every week! Mixes it up a bit.

Hopefully we don't get any Improv-A-Ganza or Love Triangle marathons.

Well, Flashback Fridays was good while it lasted. I wasn't - and still am not - surprised it would only last 2 months max. Maybe they did this just as a filler until something permanent came into play. But I think the marathon of $100,000 Pyramid will probably last only 3 more months, and maybe GSN might be considering picking up the rights to the much-anticipated 1985-86 season come the spring. Maybe GSN is giving $100K Pyramid's 1987-88 season one final encore with as many airings possible before the lease expires, and we will see what will happen to $100K Pyramid come April.

Since neither was a game show, both were fairly new productions, and since neither on the schedule at all anymore I think that's good sign they will not get a marathon.

I don't think they are that stupid to do that. I like the Catch 21 and Woolery Lingo marathons though.

Think he meant that as a joke...there were many poor marathons over the last few years.

This is wonderful news, $100,000 Pyramid getting a marathon every Friday night.

Just hopefully it won't get shown too much. It is a good idea but it's also already on at 10:30am and 2:30am.

The Flashback Friday sure didn't last long. There goes Eubanks off the schedule yet again! I loved the Friday night marathons! And I agree that for people with a "day job" who don't get to see the Classics all the time, that was awesome! I love that $100,000 Pyramid is getting a Friday Marathon, I'll definitely take that for sure!

One reason flashback Fridays couldn't go so long is GSN doesn't have enough classics to air in the first place. Compared to a couple years ago, this is nothing.
