    "Money Monday" advisement

Instead of "Million Dollar Monday", it will now be called "Money Monday". The ad showed Catch 21, Whammy!, Chain Reaction and Lingo (Engvall). Overall, a good idea by GSN. I like it and I was thinking about an idea like this when I saw Million Dollar Monday was doing bad. It's just the fact that Whammy hasn't had new episodes in years, the new Lingo has been run down a lot of times and people are tired of Catch 21.

    I'll still watch.

Dancing with the Stars has also started advertising too. The commercial says "Watch it all over again from the beginning". Premiering in January

Which is a lie because BBC America has the first 3 seasons.

I wonder if we'll see an advertisement for "$100,000 Pyramid Fridays."

This whole thing is reminiscent of the Summer-Fall 2002 vertivision blocks, when they had "Pyramid Thursdays" every Thursday night, only now it's on Fridays and it's only the $100K version.

This is GSN's method of cutting back on expenses. They've downsized from a "Million Dollar" Monday to just a "Money" Monday. I guess the "biggest money night in television" was too expensive for GSN's sakes. (Though I find it intriguing that the new "Money Monday" line-up only consists of GSN's "Original" Programming -- Catch 21, Whammy, Chain Reaction, Lingo -- only shows that GSN produced themselves.)

And I saw the promo for Dancing. It looks corny... and out of place.

In other words...they're being CHEAP, and it shows. Boy, DWTS must have cost them so much, that they couldn't even produce a decent commercial. Heaven forfend they actually get something newer and halfway decent and an actual game show, like recent WoF, or Harvey Feud (not that they *need* anymore Feud these days, but still.)

    Now that's lame, GSN.

Dancing with the Stars was way too expensive. It was a true mistake. I doubt that many people will watch it.

"Just Another Money Monday. Wish it was Sunday. That's my fun day," -- well, Saturdays are better overall.

We'll have to see. I'd be interested to see how it does on GSN to see if it gets good ratings. The female audience might be who watches the network (so they say) but I don't know how this will actually do. GSN is spending money on promotion for this show to so we'll see.

About Dancing with the Stars...GSN spent a lot of money on it. GSN should really focus on spending money for...

    -Online gaming
    -Buying and leasing classics
-Their original shows (The Newlywed Game, Lingo, Baggage etc.)

Those three things are really what keeps the world of GSN alive. Originals have been on hiatus for months and GSN hasn't done to much to introduce more classics to the network.

Yes, yes, and yes. They really should have ponied up for more episodes of Sherri and Jerry, which would have helped. Bringing back things like Password and PYL would help, too. So would new eps of the shows that are already on. And bringing back the interactive aspect of the online gaming might have a nice effect on the ratings. This is all obvious common sense stuff, yet they don't do it. It hurts to say this, but GSN is kind of on life support, in critical condition, and the doctor in charge is an orthopedist when the patient needs a neurologist. It will take someone with the right experience to pull the network through, and I don't know that we have that right now.

Exactly, originals keep the network alive.
