What did GSN do BEST is 2011

With the negative of 2011 that was mentioned here, there were also ups to GSN's 2011 year. It's definitely not Love Triangle or Improv, but it includes scheduling changes for the better. Let's just hope 2012 will have more ups than downs, but we're already starting off with a down because of DWTS.

Relieve Kelly Goode of her post.

Engvall Lingo, and that's not saying much...
5th Grader is good, but I don't like that it's only shown one night. I also do not like the block scheduling. I don't play games at GSN, the excessive advertisements drive me insane (Maybe since I pay for no ads on Club Pogo?). Basically, 2011 for GSN sucked. I'd say it was one of the worst years, if not THE worst since I started watching GSN.

I love chain reaction and are you smarter than a fifth grader. I am not looking forward to DWTS. It is not a game show and I think they are making one mistake after another bringing in programming that is not a game. I really thought gsn stood for game show network, but I guess I was wrong. Do not like dwts, never did and never will. I will not waste what little time I have left in this world watching this show.

It was certainly a rough, and most likely costly year for GSN. Lots of expensive experiments, such as the Whose Line clone.

To be quite honest, I think we're only just now starting to see some interesting changes to the schedule, and it coincides with a new head of the network. I quite enjoyed the Flashback Friday lineup of Family Feud and Pyramid, and I'm sure it introduced these shows to an audience that doesn't always tune in during the fringe hours.

I would love to see some more experiments like that in the new year, and hopefully some Classic re-acquisitions, such as Password Plus / Super Password, more episodes of Match Game, Pyramid and Card Sharks would be a very welcome sight, and the return of B&W Over Night. Perhaps giving us the 4am-5am hour, or replacing the 8am-9am with B&W, perhaps just on weekends, Saturday & Sunday?

I'm not a regular viewer of Baggage, but many people I know, even my dad seems to like it, and I watch it on occasion, it's not that terrible. IMO, the best of the new originals this year by far.

I'm just hoping this coming year has a variety Classics as part of the regular schedule.

Kelly Goode did no good for the network. So GOOD RIDDANCE to her!

I'm eager to see what Amy Davis will do for the network in the new year.

    smash it to smithereens (LOL)

Sadly, I vote for "None of the Above" since GSN didn't really do anything good this year as far as programming is concerned.

Love Triangle and Improv-A-Ganza were not game shows and extremely boring. Lingo's rating downgraded from a "G" to a "R". 1 VS 100, although needing some changes, apparently got the axe after just 1 season of it returning to air.

    GSN Live got cancelled.

The schedule still lacks variety in terms of the same 17 or so programs being aired every single day.

    Need I say more?

GSN did worse by not expanding the leases of classic game shows!

I really wish they kept it, but instead of being on and off all afternoon I wish it got it's own half hour slot somewhere like in the 5pm hour.

This poll is about as easy to answer as, "Who is the best referee in the National Hockey League?" Obviously it's "NOTA."
