When does Dancing With the Stars start airing on GSN?
Saturday January 21 at 6:00pm. Probably 3 shows, with a repay on Sunday at 1:00pm
I honestly can't wait for DWTS to go away from GSN. Including this show in the lineup is stupid. It's not a good show and it isn't even a game show. It's like the people at GSN are wanting me to go watch a different channel. I don't want to watch garbage dancing to garbage songs like "Paparazzi", come on GSN!
Who said you have to watch it? I'm not gonna watch.
Maybe the 3 hour Dancing with the Stars weekend block will be axed after a few weeks...
I guess GSN hasn't learned anything from their past dalliances with reality TV. There is one rule of thumb that they are missing the boat on: Reality TV does not replay well. The people that like DWTS will already know who won, and the people that don't like it won't watch. Not to worry, DWTS should be here and gone pretty quickly.
That's interesting because that's all I see when my wife's home from work on TLC, HGTV, and Food Network. And Im talking about competition shows, not "how to build a trap door for the inlaws to fall in to when they visit" show or something like that. DWTS will be a problem if it winds up being played every day and/or for several hours on the days it airs. 2 or 3 hours a day and repeated the next on the weekend isn't going to kill it. It will get decent numbers I think for at least the first run through as long as they don't do what I said.
Could not agree more! I am really starting to hate GSN. Dancing with the stars? I remember when this channel used to play classic game shows, not this trash. I wish I was a programmer for GSN; you'd see all of the classics brought back: 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's. So many great game shows that don't even see the light of day. Instead, we get 3 hours of Deal or No Deal.
GSN is going the way of MTV, forgetting what the letters stand for. You watch, Jersey Shore will start airing on GSN in February.
And yes, I understand that television is all about ratings, but that does not mean I have to like it. And sometimes it's a case of "children eating what you put in front of them".
My mother and sister likes DWTS though I consider it a 21st century version of Hollywood Squares for C and B- list celebrities.
