I hope Bell Aliant - my new provider, since Rogers tends to be strict with Internet bandwidth and Rogers just being a money-hungry company - where I live, doesn't make the same mistake.
Rogers needs all the money they can get after wasting it on naming rights for the Skydome. Whoever heard of playing baseball in a "Center" (or "Centre")?

I heard of Rogers and I'm not in Canada. Anyway, would Bill Cullen's Chain Reaction do well again?

Hogan's Heroes would do far better on TV Land or Antenna TV.
Or having all of the DVDs as my husband and I do so we can watch it without it being cut up, as TV Land did with it in the 1990s (and two different local channels in the 1970s and 1980s). It would make a good category for Jeopardy, though.

No idea how well Cullen's version would do. When it did air, it was only on weekends during the late night hours (I want to say 2:30AM). However, it is a word game, and GSN does very well with pretty much any word game they air (Camouflage 2007 notwithstanding). It was one of the proposed shows that GSN was going to replace TPIR with back in 2000 (along with "The Joker's Wild"), but that was under old management. Actually, the Fleming/Tauber group was planning on phasing out Goodson/Todman shows all together and sticking with only originals and Sony product. One can only wonder how things would have gone had the original plans gone forward (Aliens Ate My Game Show, Man vs. Machine, etc.). I bet that "Diamond Head Game" marathon they had planned would have done outstanding...

As for the Crosswords argument, RTV/RTN is OTA and not a cable network. And a pretty poor OTA BTW. I don't see how they can get exclusive rights for that show.

i apologize on asking you this but wasn't SOAPnet being replaced by Disney Junior in 2012?

Michael Fleming & Jake Tauber. They were respectively replaced by Rich Cronin & Bob Boden in May 2001 as CEO and VP of Programming.

I'm not sure. The 2006-07 version did well but i'm not sure if people would really like the older version. Same thing with the 1980's Lingo, compared to Woolery. GSN should just get the rights back to Lane's version

Here's one that GSN showed once. Win Lose Or Draw, anybody remember that one and would it also do well?

  10. #430
Had it done that well, I'm sure they would have kept it longer than the one year it aired.

    What year was it aired?

  12. #432
It was probably during their 50 greatest game shows. I don't know if they'll want to show those again or not.

One year's worth of shows, aired between April 2002 & March 2004. It was scattered weeks from the first and second seasons. The last airing was for the 50 Greatest Game Shows when it was re-aired in 2007.

GSN should air another special like that again. It would get good numbers

Bring Beat the Clock (Gary Kroeger version) from 2002 to GSN.
