    GSN block scheduling

Should GSN keep or drop the block scheduling and go back to their old format? Does anyone agree with the block scheduling or a schedule more like this...

    6:00pm: The Newlywed Game
    6:30pm: Baggage
    7:00pm: Deal or No Deal
    8:00pm: Family Feud (Harvey)
    8:30pm: Family Feud (Harvey)
    9:00pm: Family Feud (O'Hurley)
    9:30pm: The Newlywed Game
10:00pm: Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?
    11:00pm: The Newlywed Game
    11:30pm: Baggage

They tried that already and it didn't do so well. Back in November and December we had Match Game, $25,000 Pyramid, Card Sharks, Dawson Feud and the $100,000 Pyramid in that order.

That's similar to what my GSN schedule would look like. If GSN makes a few small changes by the end of 2012, I'd air...

On weekdays modern Wheel of Fortune at 12 and 12:30pm, Woolery Lingo at 2:30pm.

Dump the block scheduling and air Sherri & Jerry at 6 & 6:30pm, Deal or No Deal at 7pm, Harvey Feud at 8 and 8:30, The Newlywed Game hour at 9pm, 5th Grader at 10pm, and Baggage at 11 and 11:30pm.

For late nights, air Card Sharks at 1:30am.

For Saturdays, Wilson episodes of The Newlywed Game at 11 and 11:30am. Baggage at 5 and 5:30pm, KEEP the Karn/O'Hurley Family Feud block from 6-11pm, Wheel of Fortune from 11pm-1am, Baggage from 1am-3am

For Sundays, Wilson episodes of The Newlywed Game at 11 and 11:30am. Catch 21 at 3pm. Chain Reaction at 3:30pm. Karn Feud at 4 & 4:30pm, O'Hurley 5 &5:30pm. KEEP the 5th Grader 5 hour block.

**So in this case, Family Feud gets 17 slots cut, Baggage gets come needed air time, and the block scheduling is gone

    ^^ Sounds pretty good.

I actually edited my schedule just now. I would like to see Vieira Millionaire back. It used to do well when GSN aired it in prime time if I recall.

Viera Millionaire is another show GSN should acquire very soon. The 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons would be easy to pick up. at 5 and 5:30pm they could show the 2010-11 episodes and at Midnight they could air a 2009-10 episode, just so that we have variety and no rerun abuse.

But, does GSN also have the rights to her version and is there something wrong with showing hers and Regis' version back to back?

They did have her version. I don't know if they still do. They used to show the 2002-2003 and if I recall they might have gotten the rights to the 2003-2004 season if I recall, but I don't remember, I might have heard something about that.

As for the other question, there really isn't anything wrong with it but, I don't think GSN should do it, in my opinion.

I'm sorry but I can not mention Blockbusters enough, there is another show that GSN can get.

As I keep repeating though, a show like that will probably get low ratings because it's an outdated trivia game. I say if GSN were to get the rights to any old trivia games, air them on weekends starting at 7am - 10am ET. Tic Tac Dough got low ratings when it aired. That's why I suggest if GSN got rights to any old trivia game, air it like I say if GSN can afford it. Just saying.

I love old trivia game shows too though.

Old classics that don't involve trivia. Press Your Luck does in the question round but that's a good show to bring back.

GSN doesn't have the rights to recent versions of Meredith's Millionaire right now, and I don't see it being an issue. Regis' Millionaire only airs twice a week at 2 and 3pm. A recent season of Millionaire would do well compared to Regis' Millionaire, which is old and stale now
