I saw the promos for last night's show and they were touting that it was an uncut episode. I'm not sure what their definition of uncut is. And I figured it wasn't going to REALLY be uncut; which it wasn't. They censored every bad word, and blurred out the lips so you can't read their lips. I suppose it would be funnier if they were to air it truly uncut. In Canada our cable networks are allowed to air real uncut programs after 10:00pm. Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares uncensored is certainly funnier than the heavily censored FOX version for example.
There were way too many commercial breaks IMO, and no real direction for the show. A bit of improv, but no variety, just the same game over and over, just with different comedians as participants.
Drew really has it made in this show, he makes a cameo appearance at the beginning, participates a little in one Improv stunt, and closes the show.
Perhaps as someone already mentioned, the idea of a Las Vegas room may change the atmosphere, and perhaps a studio audience would be easier to have audience participation in. Part of the fun in the original was the comedians would pull out an audience member, and hilarity always ensued.
So again, this show wasn't terrible, but without variety, it's easy to get bored if you watch the entire show. And Drew needs to take a more active approach to this show. Give him back his desk, and have him hand out props or something. And bring back the points, even though they didn't mean anything.
