Thread: Suds - Scoring?

    Suds - Scoring?

Is there a secret to getting the truly high scores in Suds? My highest effort was somewhere in the mid 8000's, but the top scores every day are typically at least double that. Do you get some sort of insane bonus if all your words are seven letters long or something?

    Thanks!

Heh. Apparently, I have posed a forbidden question. Who knew?

Wow paulie12, personally I think you did extremely well. But keep on playing and you will get better. I don't know what you can do, as I have tried both long words, and shorter ones. A lot of it is in the luck of the letters that come up. I have had as many as 10 lines of letters without a vowel one, and either not have any M's, or N's or H's come up and no way to spell a word without vowels. Very frustrating.

I can guarantee you that the ones scoring in the top positions will not answer you posts.

Some of them have been suspected of cheating as they are in the top position on every game they play. Nobody, but nobody can always be #1 in so many games. It never ceases to amaze me.

Good luck and keep on playing.

This is the reason I started the glitch thread. I don't know why I thought that maybe SOMEONE would give some answers as to how they do it in the games.. Is using a glitch the same as cheating? I just wish it was fair ground. I've only been playing for about 4 months so I certainly have to get a LOT of practice before I get that far up
:-P Thanks for all your help on the threads flora. Practice is definetly key!

On another note, There have been others saying something about people adding themselves to the leaderboards by hacking into it. I haven't been here long enough to really notice it going on. Does that happen often? :-/

JessikaJustice, yes, on several games and one of them is Suds. I consider it cheating when you use the glitches that others are not aware of. I play Suds, and the highest score that I have achieved is 6,900. But, I am consistent for the high 5k - 6,300. It is difficult to get a high score when you get 10 lines of nothing but consonants. Especially when you do not have any h, y, m' and or a sometimes a t, and, when you have about 3 Q's in there. Also, I am have been playing the games to help my memory and keep my mind sharp.

I found that I was starting to have trouble thinking of a word that I wanted when carrying on a conversation. I am 70 years old and am starting to have some problems remembering. I figured if I kept my mind more active, that it would help. It has helped some, so I think those are good scores for me, but I intend to get better.

Also, this game doesn't seem to know about the lesser known words that start with q but doesn't have a u. It does however recognize the word "qindar.

I've wondered about the scores a few times myself. I am one of the ones frequently in the top I think the highest I've gotten was in the low 10000's. Maybe I just don't devote enough time to it. My first, best game is Mahjongg Alchemy and I spend more time on that and the other Mahjongg games even when I don't do as well because I like them more. I frequent kick my boyfriends but in scrabble and I read voraciously. I have read voraciously since I was young (which I am not anymore.) at which times my testing scores in English were in the 99th percentile. By the way flora, thank-you for qindar. I did not know that one. I wish you all the best and many more years of oodling. I don't always pay attention to who is in the top scores all the time but I know for myself that whether it is Suds or Alchemy it seems I cannot get a good game all day to save my soul. I had one level on Suds I quit tonight because it was almost all Q's U's and V's with a couple of other lousy letters thrown in. Good Luck Paulie, that is pretty good for scores.

Hi, JJMutt!!! I see your name all the time in the top ranks of Mahjongg Alchemy's leaderboard. Man, sometimes, it's just strange how it works... the other day, I was in second place with a score of like, 36,400 and today, with a score of 36,190 (or something) I placed 10th. I haven't placed that low in a while. I just couldn't get "dealt" that good game!

I too am a voracious reader but for some reason, I don't play a lot of word games. I do like Bookworm but not the timed version they have here at GSN.

Off to try to do better for today's scores! See you around!

Hi JJMutto2, I would be thrilled if I got 10,000. I have always scored in the 99% in English while in school, and on the IQ tests that they gave. Problem with Suds and the Q's they do not recognize many of the words that have the Q, but no u. One of them being Quaid. I like the word games but none of my friends or family will play scrabble with me. I alway pull out a dictionary and hand it to them when they want to challenge one of my words. So, I play the word games on the computer.

It still amazes me how people can score 18K plus, 17K plus, etc. each and every time they play. They have to be getting the same kind of boards that I do. If I got a few boards with a good balance of consonants and vowels instead of all consonants. Today, I had 3 lines of all vowels. When I got to the bonus round, I had almost all consonants, but all words that were consonants were missing a letter. Oh well, I will keep plugging along anyway and be content when I can beat my highest score and then challenge myself to beat it again.

If my brother were still alive, I would ask him to play it. He spoke 13 languages fluently.

    Hello, .
here's a hint! (you may already know this, but anyway)
I have realized that you need to use 35 letter per round. The bigger the word - the larger score for the word.A six or seven letter word is worth more than a three letter word.using combinations of hard consanants is also good. After playing for awhile, you will realize the repetativeness of the words you have stuck in your brain.Example....
    when I see 3 W's I look for a P,O,O,S...POWWOWS. ZZ and a J ...JAZZING. Q's usually make me look for QUIVERY,QUICKLY,Qualms. V's vividly,valving,votive

Me again. Just posting a follow-up rant at the obvious chicanery going on with this game. The current leader for today has over 16,000 points, and the score was set at two minutes past midnight. No possible way. There's definitely something shady going on there.

It's not just this game. Spliterature is the same way. There has to be some glitch going on that I haven't came across. People are scoring in the 100ks and I can't even manage 70k on my best day. Either something freezes the time or let's them play the game more then once. I play Suds sometimes and it seems the same situation there too. That or they just use the same words they know score huge points.
