I don't know but I couldn't see GSN wanting to air that again. For now if GSN got leases on.........
    *Match Game
    *Match Game PM
    *Family Feud (Dawson)
    *Family Feud (Combs)
    *$25,000 Pyramid
    *$100,000 Pyramid
    *Card Sharks (Perry)
    *Card Sharks (Eubanks)

.......I would be very happy. Those are GSN's top classics right now and that's what they should get leases on in early 2012

I didn't care much for Child's Play. I could take or leave that.

GSN has leases for Match Game, Perry's and Eubanks Card Sharks and for both of the Pyramids. They also have a lease for Dawson's Family Feud.

I know that. That would explain why the shows air daily on the network right now. But, GSN should renew leases and get more new episodes for all of those shows soon, and possibly more shows. That's what I meant

As long as CBS is airing first-run LMAD episodes, don't count on classic LMAD coming back any time soon.

Pity, I do enjoy Monty Hall's version more than Wayne Brady's.

LMAD went off the GSN airwaves on June 1, 2009. 4 months later, the Wayne Brady revival debuted on CBS.

Yep, I think Les Moonves is stingy over classic LMAD airing on GSN - as it would interfere with ratings for current episodes.

And in a matter of weeks, both versions of Pyramid will likely exit the schedule due to the lease likely expiring.

Well, that explains it. Would Match Game PM do well on Friday nights or on Saturdays instead of Dancing With The Stars?

Who knows what will happen come March, if anything at all. I didn't receive a copy of any of the leases they got, and I doubt anybody else here did, either. They might have been for 3 years, maybe 4 or 5 years. It seems that of the classics that do air, "Pyramid" and "Card Sharks" are pulling the better numbers over "Match Game" and "Family Feud". The shows that I am aware of that don't do so great (not counting DWTS...I've seen about enough discussion on that topic) are "Tic Tac Dough", "Joker's Wild", "Tattletales", Combs' "Family Feud" and the 1960s-1970s counterparts of "To Tell the Truth" and "What's My Line?". Other than that, I don't see much that GSN could lease that would fit with the whole "year-worth of episodes" thing. As well, decent ratings come with familiarity, it seems. For what is airing now, of the lesser-known versions of each show (all four of them have at least one other version not airing), most of them haven't been seen for a while or were run into the ground when they were on. "Family Feud Challenge" hasn't re-aired since 1997, "The $20,000 Pyramid" hasn't been a regular program since 1998, the other Rayburn "Match Game" shows got their fair share of reruns just a few years back. I'm not sure how good or bad the 1990 version did. Finally, there is Bill Rafferty's "Card Sharks", and GSN cycled through that one a number of times between 2005 & 2009. Anything else (Beat the Clock, Blockbusters, Dating Game, etc.), only GSN really knows how well they do. Ratings really never were publicly available when these programs were airing. The shows I noted earlier were once mentioned at one time or another in stories about GSN programming. Among all of them, I doubt "Tic Tac Dough" coming back anytime soon. No matter where that show got placed, it just didn't do well. GSN had received the once missing CBS run of "The Joker's Wild", and they only aired about 7 months worth of episodes. For what isn't airing, the "Password" series seems to be the best bet that GSN could take. It seems that they do best with either relationship shows or word games, and when you see things like "Pyramid" or "Card Sharks" breaking the Top 20 sometimes, that has to get attention from TPTB. Any good network would know, though, that everything is good in moderation. Too much of a good thing becomes too much of a bad thing very quickly. Then again, most cable channels mess that up. FX, TV Land, Hallmark Channel, A&E, MTV and VH1 are just a few examples of networks that commit program overkill. Aside from the modern "Feud", "5th Grader" and "DWTS", GSN really doesn't do overkill; they just cycle episodes a few times. There was a time, though, that even they did overkill. Around late 1997/early 1998, "3's a Crowd" aired three times in four hours. This isn't exactly accurate, but it looked something like this:

    3:30PM- 3's a Crowd
    4:00PM- Go!
    4:30PM- Gong Show
    5:00PM- 3's a Crowd
    5:30PM- Game TV
    6:00PM- The Dating Game
    6:30PM- The Newlywed Game
    7:00PM- 3's a Crowd

In any case, nothing may happen in March, the same as a bunch of things can happen in March. Just have to wait and see. I could only hope, though, that nobody gets their hopes up too high, just to get them dashed later. I certainly wouldn't be holding my breath for "Tic Tac Dough", though.

Ryan, do you mean that the Tattletales will never be on GSN again?

I don't have that kind of information. All I am aware of is that it wasn't a big ratings grabber when it did air. In the first 8 years of GSN's existence, it was plastered all over the schedule, but this was before more popular programming was around (Millionaire, DOND, Baggage, 5th Grader, etc.). I could have easily said back in 2007 that you would never see Alex Trebek's "Double Dare" again or Monty Hall's "Beat the Clock" again, and I would have been wrong. Now, if there is anything that has an extremely slim chance of being on GSN again, it's the 1986-1991 version of "Chain Reaction". There was a story a few years back about how GSN erased their copies of the show for whatever reason. Whether or not that story is true, I have no idea. I heard that in a few places, though. What has to be remembered about that statement, though, is that GSN erased their copies; the master tapes are still with USA. The show isn't completely gone.

You never know what will also be on the schedule, right? I would also love to see Supermarket Sweep.

That will be very bad. I really hope GSN renews that lease.

GSN should give Match Game PM another chance on the network. It did well when it was on a couple years ago, and GSN still has Match Game PM under its "Acquired Programming" tab.

If they showed Match Game PM again, then I'll record every episode of it and it should do well again. How about Donny's Pyramid? It also did well.

GSN is never going to show Donny's Pyramid. He said recently he hated doing the show and would never want the episodes to be in reruns on another network. Can't believe that show was already ten years ago---Same thing with Karn Feud.

But, they showed it 4 years ago and I didn't know that he hated doing it.
