Discussion Forum Formatting

Lately whenever I've been trying to post a message on the discussion forum it removes all of the formatting in the message, and posts a continuous message, without paragraphs. So if I skip a line, it ignores that.-----Like skipping two lines here.And if I post a message with an ampersand in it such as Black and White, it deletes the remainder of the post after the ampersand.Anybody have any ideas?

For a while, I just thought it was me hitting the wrong keys or something - a month ago, on my old lap top, every time I typed, the words would be position in another position not the current position...My cursor was jumping on its own....

Now that I got another laptop, I am finding out that I no longer having the above problem but another ---Every time that I highlight word or words in COLOR code, that command always jump to the of Box....I always have to copy and paste the Color code where I want it then move the word or words in between the code command...Not having this issue with the BOLD code command...

Personally it sounds like developmental technical issue that needs to be checked in PROGRAMMING CODES - I think I would email help@gsn.com the technical department.....Sent a copy of your issue to them and mines

Thanks! Glad I'm not alone in this. Perhaps it's an issue with the browser configuration? I use Firefox 9.0.1 but I don't recall having problems like this until maybe about a week ago.

Well, it's a start.I updated my Firefox to 10.0 and am still experiencing this same problem.

I figured out the problem, and was able to resolve it. Perhaps if someone else has this same issue, they might be able to fix it with these steps:

- Quick Links
- General Settings
- Miscellaneous Options
- Message Editor Interface

My preferences were set to:

Enhanced Interface – Full WYSIWYG Editing

So I changed my settings to:

Standard Editor – Extra Formatting Controls

And my issues are completely resolved. The “&” works, and when I skip spaces to make paragraphs it works as well.

I'm not sure what the issue was or what changed on the Forum software to cause the default editor to stop functioning, but all is well now.
