"The Chew" co-host says he would've visited Match Game in the 70s

In This video from the YouTube channel of ABC's "The Chew", co-host Clinton Kelly was among those asked what they would do if they could go back to the 70's for a day. He gives the best answer of the bunch. The order of responses is Stacey London, Michael Symon, Daphne Oz, Carla Hall, Mario Batali and Kelly.

Trivia Fact:The executive producer/announcer on "The Chew" is former "To Tell The Truth"(NBC version) host Gordon Elliot.

A lot more than The Revolution. That show really got the backlash from the soap viewers.

Now ABC may cancel by Fall 2012 General Hospital to make room for a Katie Couric talk show.

Or, more likely, General Hospital stays and the horrible bomb that is The Revolution gets the ax.

I believe that if things keep going this way, ABC will be retired for next season.

I heard Couric's show is supposed to be syndicated, not ABC.

General Hospital has to last until April 1, 2013, to make it to 50 years of boring television.

You're right, it's a syndie. So ABC won't be explicitly cancelling anything to run it. The show is an ABC/Disney production, though. And the fact that ABC is giving back an hour of afternoon time to its affiliates to run Katie's show has led to rumors about General Hospital's possible demise. GH is still dropping in the ratings and the cancellation rumors continue.

ABC will have three remaining hours of network daytime to fill this fall, and four hour-long shows to fill them: The View, The Chew, The Revolution and General Hospital. So something's got to give. The View is untouchable, of course, and The Chew seems to be doing sort of okay. Which means it may come down to either The Revolution or General Hospital getting the ax. Or they both might go and ABC could try an entirely new show.

By the way, to get back to Match Game, the show is a favorite of Pat Sajak. Honest. He made a podcast with Ricochet about how he tapes the show and watches it in the gym. You can listen here. There's plenty of political stuff but Pat gets to Match Game at about 17:40 into the podcast. It's his "guilty pleasure."

I wrote a faux tweet about this on the blog but it's scrolled off into Google's never-never-land.
