One random act of kindness I like to do is to pay for the car behind me in the toll booth. I always try to imagine what the expression on the driver's face is when the toll booth collector tells them that their fare has already been paid - lol

I'm in the process of moving and I need to start to get myself in gear. My husband is shouldering 90% of the work load and I need to do more... I'm going to pack up this weekend so we'll be ready to move in to the house we are going to. Not really a random act of kindness, but he is really the only person I see. And I might slip in another, "funner" act of "kindness" later on.

On a more serious note (I was trying to keep it light), a very dear friend of my mother's (and mine) died suddenly last week. He was one half of a couple... they were married for 30 years. They are/were both good friends of mine and they live in Vegas. I can't go visit her, but I've been calling her to try to comfort her because I can't imagine the pain she's in... their marriage reminded me of my marriage... very insular and they were each other's world.

Also, when I'm moving, I will be donating a TON of books to our local library and clothes to GoodWill.

I volunteer at Carilion Hospital on a frequent basis. I have heard some unforgetable hardships from individuals in my community. Some lost their jobs, some don't have health insurance, some have lost a significant family member or friend or even a pet, some are just fed up with the shape of our economy as a nation.
My act of kindness this weekend(we are expecting a big snow storm) is to give individuals transportation to whereever they need to be/go. I have a four-wheel drive vehicle and it does very well in adverse conditions. Because I am a people person, even if the storm passes us by, as usual, the patients/staff/other volunteers know I am ALWAYS there for them, for whatever the reason.

Where I live we have signs up all around our town that says,"Kindness works, Pass it on" so I try to live by that motto. I go every other month to give blood, I make a dessert for one of our local fire department every month, I try to be a courteous driver, I give away as many smiles as I can, I take time to talk to the people that encounter wherever I go, overall I just try to be nice. One thing that I will be doing next week is making a red velvet cake to take to the guys that change my oil, it's their favorite and it's time to get my oil changed. Remember, "Kindness works, Pass it on."

    Little acts equal big smiles

I'm going to take the little gal I tutor out for some ice cream. She received a B on her last two tests. She exclaimed, "I guess I'm kind of smart, huh?" I told her she should be proud of herself. I reminded her that she's a very smart girl and a very hard worker. Seeing that smile on her face was priceless!

My important piece of kindness that fits into the puzzle for me is taking care of my grandma at her apartment. The reason being for this is because although grandma does have friends, they are not close to each other in separate apartment room numbers. Also, my dad and I have to visit grandma to support and have various conversations with her because she is lonely, which for the fact that she doesn't want to cope in her nature here. Over the course of time, we comfort grandma and give the support of god to her. Since she will probably die before she reaches 100, I will visit her and give her charming words so I will remember her when I find her in heaven. My grandma is important to me to the fact that she takes good care of me by feeding me enough food and keeping me warm so I don't end up like a solid ice cube. My families support can help my grandma so she wouldn't have to deal with being lonely by herself.

We should show Kindness in every way we can,not just toward the people we know such as our( family and fiends),but those we meet everyday. Many people ride the public transportation like the Buses, when we see an Elderly, as a young person we should right away give our seat for them, when were at the School area,we need to follow the speed limit or even stop when we see children's walking. But most of all, we should never pass a day of not saying"I LOVE YOU" to our love ones, because we might not able to say that word to them tomorrow. Remember the word of one wise man say's( LOVE IS KIND )

    God Bless!!

I received an unexpected check in the mail. My ex-neighbor really struggles living paycheck to paycheck. I put $100 in a card and anonymously left it in her mailbox.
