John Davidson (1986-1989)

or

Tom Bergeron (1998-2004)

p.s. John "bowser" Bauman does not count since he hosted the Hollywood Squares half of the one hour long NBC daytime bombfest that was once called The Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour from (1983-1984).

Not to take away from the others, but Peter was the best one.

GSN ought to start running the Peter Marshall version of the 'Squares'.

I'm not Chameleonwhammy, but for me the show was like an out of control circus. Add in a clueless "ringmaster" (in Davidson) and there's a recipe for disaster. Gotta go with the majority for ranking...Marshall -> Bergeron -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Davidson

I could see why Peter Marshall is winning this by far. He basically started the show, and hosted it for 15 years He's like the Bob Eubanks of Hollywood Squares.
