    New Ratings Feb 13-19th

    http://thevoiceoftv.com/nielsen-tv-r...ry-13-19-2012/

DWTS is a complete failure. I bet they're sure glad they didn't go on their first hunch and air Pyramid instead. Because that 167 (0.1) rating for 10:30pm Friday night sure is amazing. Amazingly TERRIBLE!

Or how about the 8:30-9:30pm Friday night airing that got 161k (0.1)

Or the 7-8:30pm fri night airing that got a freaking 153k (0.1)

Or to top it off, the 9:30 to 10:30pm Fri airing that got 140k!!

Or the 6-7pm airing Fri evening that got 129k viewers!!!!!!!!

The show is a disgrace to GSN. GET IT OFF.

Sunday 1pm in the middle of the day got 96k viewers. I mean really? Can't get much worse than that.

Suck it up GSN. You made a mistake. Now cut your losses, dump the show, and find some programming directors that know what the hell they're doing, and move on.

D means Dancing, and D means Disaster.

I bet GSN wished they aired $100K Pyramid instead of DWTS.

But it said that GSN picked up Seasons 4 to 13 (inclusive), but I wonder if they're skipping to Season 12 because of music rights issues? If so, then at least GSN made a cheaper acquisition than we realized.

I just posted a question about DWTS vs. music rights issues on the American Top 40 message board. Hopefully I will get a response from someone who really watched the show.

Wow.. GSN is getting exactly what they deserve.

DWTS can't even make it in the top 102, lol. I bet those Season 12 reruns are really gonna bring up those numbers.

It seems as if "D" is most associated with negativity.

Funny I brought up the music rights issues, because Season 4 did involve copyrighted music, including a song by the P-Cat Dolls, Billy Joel, and I think there was a song by Destiny's Child. They probably had no problem clearing those songs, yet Billy Joel, who cleared a song in Season 4, won't clear "Uptown Girl", which is in Season 5.

They're not skipping ahead because of music. They're skipping ahead because they're desperate for ratings...even though this proves it stinks royally.

It could've actually had drawn a little better numbers if they weren't so stupid with the way they were scheduling it. Imagine being a casual viewer who may actually have some interest in it, if you catch the 7:30pm episode on Saturday and decide to stick around, then the 8:30 episode is gonna be the replay of the 6pm episode so now you have thousands of people tuning out in confusion, which is exactly what happened, the ratings show it. But it's not like GSN has anything else to air instead. You either get DWTS shoved down your throat or Richard Karn, it's a lose-lose situation here.

Karn actually does well for them ratings-wise...so don't encourage them.

    I love this!

    130 ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER Friday 5:00PM - 198,000
    205 DANCING WITH THE STARS Friday 6:00PM - 129,000
    --
    33 NEWLYWED GAME (GSN) Saturday 5:30PM - 321,000
    103 DANCING WITH THE STARS Saturday 6:00PM - 225,000
    --
    103 1 VS. 100 Sunday 12:00PM - 225,000
    218 DANCING WITH THE STARS Sunday 1:00PM - 96,000

    ------
Monday, Thursday, and Sunday Block-Scheduling did great with many shows in the Top 20 for the week. Three of Sunday nights 5th grader airings were over 500,000 with the highest being at 10PM with 594,000 viewers. 5th grader didn't do nearly as good on Friday afternoon.

Tues & Wed nights didn't do anything special. They both had some decent numbers, but Baggage really put up some low ones below 200,000. I guess people can't take 5 hours straight of seeing endless repeats of opening boxes. The show does fine at 6:30PM and 1:30AM though. New episodes should help in a few weeks, though I'm not sure why they scheduled it how they did.

Dancing continues to stink (see above). I guess they are trying a newer season next to see if it helps the ratings.

Friday didn't do good at all, however the best show of the day was 10AM Card Sharks with 280,000 viewers.

Several years ago, I aired a comedy radio program that came out of St. Louis which a guess could be a radio version of "World's Dumbest". Anyway as part of the ID was of course the network which was called

    Gateway to Stupidity Network.

Rather appropriate in this case with the Dancing shows.

I can't believe why DWTS is taking a beating this week. Maybe because they're so sick and tired after having 2 weeks in the top 100. The highest was #102. Number 102 on the list! Fifth Grader just came back on the top and got the top 3 slots for the week, but back to DWTS and they're skipping ahead to season 12. Where's seasons 5-11?
