500 Oodles Mega Game – Old Stuff Day 3/2
National Old Stuff Day is a day to celebrate the opposite of what the name implies. It’s about taking a moment to recognize the same stuff you do every day and challenge yourself to do something different.
To celebrate, GSN is taking a whimsical approach and offering numerous fun old timey stuff in the Oodles Auctions this weekend, and you can even pick up a cute Old Stuff Day Oodlectible!
For this game, though, I want to challenge everyone to do something different, or try something different. Have you been wanting to try a new food, change your hairstyle, or start a new hobby? How about taking a new route home from work, or going somewhere you’ve never been? See if you can think of an idea to shake up the “same old stuff” routine.
Report back here after you’ve thought of something new, and for a chance at 500 Oodles, tell us what your weekend’s game plan is!
Rules: You have until 11:59pm ET on Sun, March 4 to post. We'll randomly select 15 people to win 500 Oodles. Please post only once. Do not comment on other posts until after winners are announced. Obey forum rules.
If you're on Twitter, be sure to retweet game announcements. Ten random people will win 100 Oodles.

My something different is to actually HELP my husband with us moving this weekend. I need to pack up where we are and I've been saying this for weeks... so this weekend, I'm ACTUALLY GOING TO DO IT. I'll also try something new by THROWING OUT STUFF I don't need or use or love. Those are the keys: Need it (like a birth certificate); Use it (like a remote control); or Love it (applies to everything else... keepsakes, clothes, souvenirs, collectibles).
And moving into the new house will be automatically something new I'll be doing this weekend!

I've been wanting to try the Hoagies and Pierogies in the Pittsburgh, PA area because I hear those are good back there. Also, something new I'd like to do is try to eat more healthier and cut down on certain foods. Exercise is good also. I would also like to try to get out of the house more. I do now but, you know lol.
Not doing much this weekend but I hope to do lots of things.

I will try to eat healthier. It seems like I've been eating nothing but pizza, buffalo wings and other spicy food. Always get stomach aches after eating that stuff. It's time for a change.

I already do this, and I think its good for others to do also. When I was a kid and went out to eat somewhere, my dad would pick up the check for a person in the restaurant. The person was usually an elderly person eating alone. I started doing this for people also. I think It would be great for others to keep this kind act going. Its only 5 to 10 dollars, and it works anywhere from Mcdonnalds to Red Lobster.
Quit the old routine of sitting and staring at the elderly person in the corner and do something nice for them by buying them their 5 dollar senior citizens meal.

Since this challenge is a 'started on' Old Stuff Day.. but it's suppose to be about something NEW/Different... Here is my Plan. USUALLY, I wait til SPRING to gather up OLD Items to put on a Yard Sale... I will take all the OLD/ Unused items I can gather and take them to the BRAND NEW (Animal shelter) 'Thrift Store' and drop them off instead... Then I will take our 'Furbabies' to the Dog Park and leave their 'Excess' Toys, Bowls etc there so others can find them there! Our Furkids are over indulged and I know others can use these item... It will be good to get an EARLY start to the 'annual' clean-up!...

For National Old Stuff Day I plan on doing something for myself for a change. I've been taking care of my mother fuul time and haven't had a spare moment for myself. I don't want to be selfish, but I think I'd really like to spend a few hours and get a new haircut and maybe a pedicure. Then I'll get back to reality and go do the shopping. Those are my big weekend plans

Well, now this lady is a senior and some might call me "Old Stuff", but I recently had my daughter the beautician give me a new "do" (hairstyle) new color & cut than usual! So, this lady is no longer "Old Stuff" and going to shake it up and get off her lift chair, even, if just by, going out to sit on the porch swing!
I will enjoy "people" watching & smiling
at those who may just need a smile, or say a hello to everyone that passes by just in case it helps brighten their day! I know it will mine!
I am going to shake my stuff (not dancing with the stars) LOL, by going to the corner & getting on our city bus (don't drive) & ride the circuit & get off at one of our fine food places and try something new on the menu! Maybe make a new friend or two along the way! I have a best friend I made when I met her on that same city bus, when I was riding to work, before I retired due to being somewhat disabled (arthritis back & knees).
She became my best friend & we start and end our days, by calling each other to see how we are doing or what's new! Sometimes even during the day to just to say "how you doing?"! She has no family around her (not many left) and has made it through brain surgery (sudden blood clot) and two cancer surgeries (colon & breast)thank God! We've been through a lot together as friends! All because of meeting on the bus! So, time to get out of this house (only go out now on Sunday's at time to go to church) even, if it is on the front porch swing! March 15th by good friend will have her 74th Birthday! She is going to my daughter's Salon to get a new "do", but not like mine LOL!
In closing I am going to get away from the "Old Stuff" by shaking up my GSN routine! I am going to try new games & maybe have gathered enough oodles to get a prize for myself! I never entered to win like others & it's time to shake it up and win big on GSN this month! Thanks for the game, and I'll let you know how I do shaking up things and not just keeping the "Old Stuff" in my life! I guess I needed this fun game to get me going! I need to get back to exercise (as much as I can) and no goodies again & keep losing those pounds & that is some "Old Stuff" that definitely needs to go LOL!
Thanks again for the game here & fun times lately on GSN itself & even on twitter and facebook! Your the best! Your not "Old Stuff" GSNAngel & your not going, but staying and shaking things up keeps us all together and happy, because of your great creative ways to play games and win oodles, prizes and so much more
. I am glad for all mvdcf's and other gsn friends on facebook and twitter! Have a grat March! This senior lady can't wait to see what next you'll do to keep us all having fun, "Shake things up" so we don't become "Old Stuff", because you keep things new and exciting here on GSN! (((hugs2 U & all mvdcf"s)))

I think to get away from the "old stuff", I'll shave my head this weekend, I have a less than perfect hairline as it is and getting rid of what is left would be a vast improvement!

For national (old stuff) day,, I'm going to introduce my self to my neighbor who has (Breast Cancer), I see her going to the park with her daughter all the time, who has the same age as my son,and I'm going to tell her that if she need my help, I'll be there to help her.
Thank you and God bless!!

Ive decided we're going to do "backwards" weekend!! Something diffrent, we're going to do everything opposite than we do in a typical day. Here is what our weekend will consist of: Instead of sleeping inside the house, were going to sleep in the RV (were gonna make a campout out of it and the kids are super excited). We are going to have dinner for breakfast. And breakfast for dinner!!!!!!! We're gonna have a great time!!!!! Thanks for the idea of switching things up!!!

Well this weekend I'll try "something new"...they say, "Don't knock it...if you haven't tried it..." So I'm going to "eat a piece of Sushi and order my Steak...Medium-Rare..." Truly the thought of both makes me a tad queasy...LOL...but I'm going to give it a shot...So then...I really can "knock it...if I tried it...and I don't like it." LOL

NATIONAL OLD STUFF DAY!! Let's see here now....Switching something new for something old routine.First of all, I usually don't play games at GSN.com because there are no trivia questions to answer to get more Oodles, but heck,I'll do it this weekend, just maybe I will land on a leaderboard somewhere.Since it's going to be chilly here in Virginia, myself and my girlfiend will seek out an adventure in the car, with no destination in mind and see where it takes us. We are going to pack a picnic basket and head South towards North Carolina, just maybe we will find a great spot to enjoy each others company and "picnic out" on the basket, drink some wine and just maybe,"GET ROMANTIC" and fool around a bit.....MMMMMMMMM!!! Sounds GREAT to me!!

This weekend I will try something new...I will actually speak to my ex when he stops by to see our daughter...instead of simply grunting lol!!
-
I'm going to try two new recipes this weekend that I found on Pinterest! One of them is for spinach cakes (they look a lot better than they sound) and one of for salmon! I'm looking forward to eating good this weekend
