I’ve been living pretty unhealthy for a number of years: eating too much and all the bad things, too fat, watching too much tv, spending too much time on the computer, do not have a good sleeping schedule, not exercising or moving much at all, neglecting house and yard work, totally unorganized. My plan is to pretty much do the opposite of all of the above.

I really need a new look, I am a grandmother and I have really started to look the part. I am going to get my hair cut short and styled. Pick up some new outfits so I can look much more in style. This past year has been really really tough and I look really tired and drab, So out with the old and in with the NEW!

The new thing I'm trying is quitting smoking! I got hold of the WV quit line and they sent me patches to help. They sat in a bookshelf for about 9 months. (They are not expired) So, today is the planned day to start. So I got up this am and put on a patch instead of smoking a cigarette. Wish me good luck!

National Old Stuff Day, certainly has a new meaning for My Nick and I. We were discussing getting a new refrigerator, to match our new Dishwasher. It was about Twenty-Years-Old, would most likely would need to be replaced in the near future, least we thought we had time. Well, it must have heard us and we must have hurt its feelings badly. Because our old Refrigerator decided to spite us, by just stop working at 5 PM on Friday night. We immediately got online, searching for the best deals, It turned out to be Lowe's, so, I made a mad dash there to buy one. Luckily they had the one on sale we wanted in stock and said could deliver it sometime Saturday. With our frozen food, defrosting fast, we called our neighbor's and were able to give some of it away. But, even with bags of ice stuffed in the freezer, sadly most didn't make it, by the time the new one arrived at 8 AM. The lesson we learned is, when National Old Stuff Day is coming around and ya'll are considering replacing an old appliance. DON'T EVER DISCUSS that ya'll are fixin to replace it, in ear shot of the appliance. They do have feelings, can be hurt, then turn around and bite ya in the butt. The good news, we're thrilled with our new frig. Bad news, we lost a lot of food and an old friend we had a Twenty-Year relationship with is on its way to refrigerator heaven.

This is definitely a time for change and transitions! Getting back into shape, exercising everyday (lost 10 pounds in the last month-5 to go), cut my hair 2 days ago (rocking bangs now), finishing my degree (3 classes left), almost done with spring cleaning, working on tbe garage now. I'll be taking a break this weekend-attending a house warming party at my daughter's and her new hubby's home they just bought. They were married last Christmas Eve. I'm sooooo proud of them!!! This is such a befitting forum game since I'll be taking alot of her "old stuff" to her new home today! Have a great weekend everyone!

Since it's Old Stuff Day, I should visit my old (but healthy!!!) grandparents, and give them a surprise!!! I'm also gonna try out that old cafe at the corner that I've always wanted to visit but never had time before. Finally, papa needs a pair of new shoes!!!

I am going to volunteer at the hospital near me. I'd like to help out with patients to help ease the stress of being hospitalized. I've been there, so I know how hard it can be!

Well, this will make me look like a geek, but on 3/2, I was messing around with Windows 8 Consumer Preview. There was a one day event on 3/2 for Oodles, and I missed it. Okay, that does upset me. So I need to pay closer attention. GSNAngel, I don't know what a signature banner is, so I can't give any ideas. I will always object to Facebook and Twitter being the only way to get extra opportunities.

This weekend I'm going to make all out effort to find a new job that's closer to home rather than waste my gas traveling to my current work.

It would be nice to have some peace and quiet and not listen to yapping from everyone all weekend

Something I already do is when I go to a buffet style restaurant I try something that I have never tried before, I have found a lot of new favorites that way. But this weekend to do something new, I'm gonna create a new meal at home, I'm gonna see what I have on hand and see what I can create, if it turns out good, great, if not the outside wildlife can have it. It's a win win situation!

p.s. my grandsons tried something new last night, they had a Squishy Baff, which is this stuff you put in the bath water to turn the water into a goo. They loved it! Their mom got it for them at Walmart if you want to be brave and try your own Squishy Baff, who knows maybe I'll try one. lol

It seems as if I always cook the same favorites. This week I've decided to make at least three new and different meals that we have not eaten before. We will see how my hubby reacts.

Instead of spending my Saturday afternoons watching TV, I just signed up to volunteer at the local soup kitchen during this time. In with the new, and out with the old!
